We don’t like to tell you southern fairies. What with all the fantastic roads and glorious weather we have you’d all want to move up and turn it into a ghetto so you felt at home.
Right: Camping is good/handy . Showers were clean with hot water. No garage is PITA. Taking a genny is an added hassle, cost and there bloody noisy. Ride to "pits" and being held results in cold/dirty tyres even off warmers. This resulted in LOTS of red flagged 1st laps. Which in consequence resulted in more red flags from the restart. This is kind of the tracks issue BUT people need to adjust to this and not be TWATS!!!! Track would be excellent if A) were less people on it and B) the group was more of an equal speed. I think fast would be much better than inters. Because the track is narrow and wiggly wiggly it's hard to overtake so you get very large bunches of impatient people (in inters at least). If/when I book again I'll book 2 days back2back with inters on day 1 and fast on day 2.
If you can find one, and have the balls, do an open pit lane. I loved it. There’s loads f passing spots at Cadwell tho: two big straaights, long corners so you can go around, chicane, bottom mountain, hairpin, Mansfield...barn can be dodgy as can thru halls bends but every other corner is a good spot
@jock mcsporran showed me a couple of places like inside before gooseneck. I did find more places as day went on like Mansfield and Hairpin but I prefer to give others more space than those corners offer. Open pitlane is a great shout, but I'd like to know track better first.
Great day fellas, and great to catch up. And Creamie - anytime you want to organise again and guarantee the weather ( as agreed ) I'll be there As ever the facilities at Cadwell were slightly limited, but then CR managed to make up for it with a fantastic array of snacks and drinks - that man needs a medal. And just to contradict ET above- NO, it's awful up here ( I thought we all agreed that was the party line so that we don't get the southerners coming up?? )
