  2. Nice stuff
    :upyeah:

  3. Oh boy!

That pipe wont fit a standard 05 749 BIP with a shallow sump will it? (only 999's listed which im sure are deep sump etc)

Say no or I will have sleepless nights and might have to sell one of my nuts.

  4. The 05/06 999 and 999S have deep sump engines. I have tried an deep sump 999r termi exhaust sytem on an shallow sump 749 but it would not fit.
You can modify the exhaust of course but in standard trim it will not work.

  5. Hi mrfurry,
Cheers just been buying stuff over the years now been told it all has to go :-(

    JC749,
As far as I am aware it will fit all bikes with the later black swingarm. I am sure I have seen the banana type pipes on the 749.
I am sure one of the more knowledgeable guys on here will know.

  6. Hi Sunny,

I can't see the picture of the rearsets on my iPhone. What flavor are they & are they standard shift or race?

    Cheers

    Matt

  7. Hi matt,
They are standard as far as I am aware. The came off my old 999R.

    Cheers
    Sunny

  8. Thanks for that and its good news really as that would max out my visa.

I agree about having seen banana pipes on 749's but I must admit that I have heard probs about the shallow sump. I know a baby R has a deep sump but ive seen them on 749S's which are shallow im sure. I think from memory the issue with these pipes on a BIP was simply that they needed a bit of tuning to bet the best out of them as they are optimised for the 999 & baby R.

You would think a shallow sump pipe wouldnt fit a deep sump motor but a deep sump would fit as there should be more clearance?? Then theres fairing issues. Ahhhh

But I really would like it....

  9. Ive been doing a bit of research on the exhaust fitment and thought I would share in case it helps someone.

I think it will fit any black swingarm model but I have read others having issues with clearance issues with the shallow sump and I have an idea why this may be....

The product code is 96445205BA but below that there is also a code D.57 which is followed by the model number (999)

I found this on Ducati.MS which shows a bit more detail of product codes and bike fitments.
    View attachment 10916

Ignoring the product codes it seems logical that each description is broken down into pipe assembly (for swingarm and engine configurations) and then end can configurations resulting in different product codes and fitment combinations.

I deduce the different pipework codes seem to be :

    D.50 (grey swingarm 999 deep sump and 749 & S grey swingarm?)
    D.54 (999 & 749 Black swingarm - if so I have no idea why different to D.57)
D.57 (999R & S - must be black swingarm as all R's had black swingers deep sump?)

    God I need some money!!!

  10. is th eD.50 etc not the diameter of the end can?

  11. Sunny,

When i can finaly see the pictures ill drop you an email. I might be making you an offer on the rearsets.

  12. Ahhhh. Your right.

  13. Not that it helps matters though.

  14. Guys happy to listen to offers?

  15. I think the D number refers to the diameter of the pipes not the cans. My hat in the ring. Duke
P.S. Have you still got the rear sets?

  16. I can confirm that the kit will fit a shallow sump 749 05 onwards model, my 749S runs with this very set up. However it has had some exstentsive mapping work but makes a very good 115+ bhp at the rear wheel.

I wouldn't suggest running it a BIP though as they don't have the same cams which are really needed to make the most of the extra flow.

on a side note I'll have the air tubes off you Sunny. PM on route :)

  17. Such tempting goodies. If only I hadn't had to replace the car this year. Gah! :frown:

  18. Duke,Yes still have the rear sets.

Simon, I replied to you mate just before I read the above. I am just waiting for another forum member to comeback to me as he wanted a quote for postage.

As regards the exhaust kits it very rare piece of kit and you can convert the asymmetric system into a full setup with this item. I am happy to listen to offers as all these items are down from the loft and "littering" the lounge according to wife, I would rather call it art ;-)

Please don't make put these items on EBay I think I would rather keep them :-(
