Today I have booked my first ever track experience for 22nd August with Ron Haslem race school. Can' t bloody wait!!! Not Carl foggy is coming along too. And have booked my boy to do the learner thing on same day which starts when we finish so that should be a giggle.. He' s 20 and apart from blasting around the car park at his mums on her ped and doing burnouts on the monster in my garden he has no experience. ..
The DVLA had been telling me that my MHR was a bitsa... not so, and I was battling to keep its original VIN not re-stamp the frame with a DVLA-assigned VIN. This morning I got an email through from DVLA telling me that I could keep my original VRM and my VIN and engine number were accepted and a V5 was on its way to me. The icing on the cake was checking in with the "is your vehicle..." website and seeing this: I am a very happy boy... and cannot wait to get it on the road!
Yeah I'm really looking forward to it.. 92 to beat eh? Not that it's a competition. . ( unless I better 92!!!)
Went to visit the Estrella Damm brewery in el Prat de Llobregat, a stone’s throw from Barcelona airport today. Not your typical British brewery tour but no less interesting for it. Absolutely ultra modern set up capable of producing and packing something like 22 cans, 12 bottles and a keg every 20 seconds. Production is dependant on orders, only brews beer to deliver straight away so it’s always in peak condition when you buy it which you can in 93 countries world wide. Had a proper almost wine like tasting of 4 classic Estrella beers and after the tour found a bar in the heart of Barcelona that sold them all . Andy
