For those of you that don't keep an eye on the Rideouts section of the forums..... See here for details and to post if you will be attending: Benson Multi Rideout https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/benson-multi-rideout.62647/ .....many thanks @Kirky for organising this again :niceone:
There seems to be a mini meet this weekend in North Wales. A few people off the facebook group are meeting this Saturday afternoon in Betws Y Coed
As they say don’t wait for me on Saturday, I am collecting my wheels later today and they need to be built back up and tyres put on and I may run out of time, apologies if I don’t make it.
Hi Andy, I have followed your posts for my 2012 Multistrada S and hope you may have a test to confirm the HandsFree module has failed. The switch works sometimes or not at all. The security button does nothing so I thought about the switch on the bars mainly because it is cheaper. However since the security button does not work either I think the Hands free module has failed. Is there a test to confirm this?
Hi, firstly you have added this to a thread about rideouts, so may not get the right attention. second, I can only suggest you plug in an obd lead and try to read any fault codes (not sure you can with ignition off). If the security switch doesnt work, chances are you have a bigger issue than just a fault switch. Have you tried putting your key by the clocks when you try to unlock it ? This uses passive RFID and should work regardless of whether the key battery is flat. It may not be the module itself, it could be a fuse, a broken wire, or something else. Chances are you will need to remove the tank and have a bit of a dig around. Hope that helps.
Thanks, I did not try the red key yet so will try that. I have checked the fuse and wiring to the relay and all is good there.
