We've been through these tactics, one guy who originally seemed very keen turned out not able to raise the funds. The sort of stuff you do prior to putting an offer down. A professional doctor... apparently!
I FaceTimed SWMBO when I got home to tell her that I’d turned his second offer down and she got arsey. I’ve had to remind her that we’d agreed our lowest acceptance before she went away, and I’m not shifting from that. She can sulk all she likes.

Good to meet up, Ben, Terry. After all that the bastard job got cancelled! Got up to middles-bog-horror for 16:30 and the shop had already closed. No one there. Got back home for 18:30 and now just chilling.
We went through a similar scenario, guy offered 20% less than asking price initially then danced round his handbag a bit more. Told our agent that he wasn’t getting it for less than the full price which he eventually paid. Hard ball tactics cost him in the end as had he not annoyed me we would have taken an offer.
