  5. Jeff Beck is one of those guitarist which I find difficult to fully get to terms with, when he's good he's devastatingly good but when he's playing normally he's frustrating.
Here's a video of the former mixed with a bit of the latter.

  9. Agreed Jez, my favourite live, saw him in small venues too, taken to early.

  10. He recorded most of the guitar on Bowies Lets Dance album too. Its crazy that his hands are moving so fast they are blurred in the video!

  11. Voted Bert - because he influenced a lot of early guitarist who influenced...

Could have gone with my user name. namesake; Eric or Gilmore or Knopler or Moore. Good to see Jeff Beck get a mention - much more than Hi Ho Silver Lining!!

  12. Tommy Emmanuel what a guitarist, oh! and John Williams of course.

  13. I know it isn't me; but that has never stopped me.

Knowing the preposition in the forum for bins...it isn't this guy either...

  14. Bert Janch, Davy Graham, Nick Drake.

  15. Its still BB King. You can have all the discussions in the world but BB is best.

  16. Here's 3 from way out, Olga of T.T.D.

  17. Here is another from left field. Not the greatest technician but she got a crowd rocking and had stage presence second to none yet barely moved. Just those sneering looks and a wiggle of the hips.

The one and only Poison Ivy of The Cramps.

This was the first time I had heard of them, The Tube was not to be missed when I was a kid. I was just blown away by them.

    RIP Lux Interior
