Hi does anyone know how to stop the front brake master cylinder from leaking? This was a problem on my S4RS monster and now on my 2010 multi. I've changed the caps on both the brake and clutch, but still there's a slight weep around the cap and on to the mirror. Any tips appreciated.
what is temperature where you storage your bike? if it too cold you will see some brake/clutch fluid escape to out around the cylinders like condensation.
It is possible you have over tightened the cap screws, which seems to compromise the rubber diaphragm somehow. This was suggested years ago as the possible cause to this. I get this occasionally on my current multi if I fill the fluid to the max mark. I simply leave the fluid level a bit lower to avoid it happening
Got gold metal cap from a forum member here. I'll try as John W suggested and slacken the screws a bit see if it works. It's deffo not too cold !!
