Paraffin For Chain Cleaning?

Discussion in 'Detailing and cleaning' started by hyper95, Jul 6, 2018.

  1. Hello everyone, after a bit of research I've seen that a lot of people recommend using Paraffin (i.e. thinned out Kerosene) for de-greasing & cleaning the chain. Thoughts on this? Any previous experience?

I've found this 4L Paraffin container and I wanted to make sure it's the "right product", as I've never bought this before and I'm not sure if there's different versions for different purposes.

  3. Ive always used paraffin. Occassionally old petrol when ive run out. Paraffin is spot on perfect for the job.

Dont use a degreaser like gunk ive been told. I never have but dont know if this is factually correct.
