  3. I was taught no crossing solid white lines and treat them like a brick wall.

I think you would have been ok if said car wasn’t moving or accelerating as you would have been moving around a stopped car

  4. He didn’t cross them, please re read, and then read read the Highway Code, I thank you :):upyeah:

  6. In these cases it usually because there have been fatalities at the stretch in question.

  7. I was taking the piss around what is a stupid position to put yourself in.....for example, If the copper that witnessed or could see the overtake, was at the accident, then what is the OP doing overtaking a car prior to an obvious scene of an accident with cops there and everything in such close proximity?

You probably find history has determined a collision hot spot at the location ie people overtaking across a junction,(sounds familiar) which is why the solid line was there in the first place...

how far ahead is he looking, what kind of plan is he putting together.....i rest the case for why we have speed limits and laws set at the lowest denomination..

  11. OP isn’t asking if he can cross the line. He’s asking if he can overtake without crossing the line. Ie the space between a car and the line.

Circumstances dictate. If it’s at 15mph probably ok, if at 60mph maybe not. Could be careless or with due care, as you may be pretty close to t(e car on your left.

People complain about a 4’ overtake on a track, yet are happy to be 6” for a car at 60.....

  19. Nemesis is almost a compliment of your power!

The nemesis of a person or thing is a situation, event, or person which causes them to be seriously harmed, especially as a punishment.

  20. Oh. I though he was calling me a secondhand ECU replacement.

Your thing makes much more sense. Sort of.
