Thanks! Would it up the collection if I said I was opening my first birthday card at 0200 today whilst changing the nappy of my two week old little girl( first and only child/princess), and my second crd at 0500...... come on I can hear those heart strings plucking s I type. Just a small Rolex?
I can supply Bolex watches cheap, as I used to be a Looky-Looky Man. Now I sell genuine designer Italian leather coats at service stations, when the hi-fi speaker sales are low.
The only thing about premium brands, is the likes of me buy them and ruin all the kudos they are meant to have.
Mine are a random collection of everyday Swiss and Italian watches: Omega, Raymond Weil, Swatch, Breil. None are fancy, the Omega and the RW are entry level ones, but they'll do me for the rest of my life. I only ever wear one watch at the time, so no need for any more.
Random, but my own '94 g10 for work. Tissot moto-gp qualifier 2010 for every day and Rolex Explorer 2 (white face) for special occasions. For me an early original black Seamaster would complete the set this side of a lottery win....
That's better it goes beep beep and has big numbers!!! Worth it's weight in gold ! If I was offered a grand watch or a grands worth of petrol vouchers .... Give me the fuel That was my best watch I'm a heathen I don't get the watch thing
Sounds like these boys agree with you Hairy...I mean Mary!! What Year did they Stop Putting Zenith Movements in Daytona's? - Rolex Forums - Rolex Watch Forum
I have many faults, but being wrong isn't one them..... He, he, he.... Only kidding. I lost the toss before a game of snooker in 1989. I bought a steel Daytona (I finally came up on their list) in 2009. Although I'd stared at them for hours prior to buying one, I never noticed there was no date on them. And that got on my tits after a bit. Also whenever I went in a pub full of flash twats, like me, I'd get stared at. I soon got bored of it and chopped it in for a very nice JLC Master compressor Geographic. And that kept stopping. Automatically.
Trouble with watches if you start it can be infectious ! Treated myself for my 40th and have added a few more since, bit like bikes aswell !
+1 on the infectious bit, heres my tally so far. Should have kept the Daytona although happy with the GMT
Hello, MY Cornish Pirate! It's hanging with just one tendon, thanks. We are talking about my ankle, right? All the ligaments are torn, so the Duchess is having a rest until next summer. Apart from that I'm just as fantabulous as before, and I hope you're in the pink, too.
Love em, but have never been able to justify spending more than £300 on ome. Dunno where you all get your money from....! lol
Back on topic, but me missus bought me a watch after we'd been together for a year. About 15 years later I managed to see it disappear over the side of a yacht in the Channel. Another year or two later she bought me another one, which then fell off my wrist as I was chugging through India on an Enfield last year. Both losses were due to the strap breaking and not only was I gutted, but the missus was hacked off. So...we are now shopping for a replacement after another year with no watch. Saw one today that may be a possibility...so let's see how it works out.
