Ducati 999 Mirrors

  1. Yes. We know they are good for looking at your forearms. I need to paint mine to cover some road rash. Has anyone done it, I am thinking strip paint, plastic basecoat then topcoat. Anyone know a good way to remove the old paint (DOT4 safe?) Are there any fillers that can be used to build up the plastic where it is worn away and scratched. DOes anyone know how to separate the painted plastics from the black surround. Many thanks for all and any help
     
  2. Modern day brake fluid don' t remove paint like it used to...

  3. So here’s what I did. Sand existing paint with 400 then 800 paper. Built 5 coats of plastic primer hi-coat to cover all the indents. Sand with 1500 wet to really smooth. 3 layers of Rosso from a spray can after first mist coat. P2500 wet. 2 more coats Rossi and polish. Time consuming but easy DIY job.
