Stoner complains MotoGP fans spat at him

  1. He might be a moaner....but he did mention the loss of Sic..that day was a sad day. Stoner was a god on a bike, you cannot disagree, he did something to the ducati that not even the god himself could do but I guess he fell out of love with all aspects that go with racing a bike. Look at Tommy Hill, one hell of a rider but when the love and LUST is gone why carry on.
Baylis on the other hand was awaresome. You felt something, you wanted him to win, you liked him. Casey was a god but wanted the privacy to lead a quite life with his family, can you blame him...life needs a good guy and a bad guy in any era I guess his turn was the bad guy against the good guy....but that's my guess

  2. If that.

  4. No one doubts the ability he had on a race bike.

But he still is a whiney, moaning get.

Why whinge about a sport that made him very wealthy once he has chosen to leave it?

  5. I'm not a "Stoner Fan" as such but I have HUGE respect for him. I think the thing with Casey was, he was just sick to the back teeth of it all. He and his family went through VERY tough times to get him racing and he finally did it - he hit the big time! Then when he got there, confronted with a "warts and all" view of MotoGP and the people who run it, he was so disappointed it kinda ruined it for him. Lets face it, on a bike, the guys a f*cking genius. But I don't think he's mentally the toughest guy out there and was genuinely hurt by negative fans, press etc. Disillusioned would be the word. Somebody earlier nailed it, all the riders, the lot of them, have MASSIVE respect for Casey and most like him personally too. They'd be the ones to know, not us armchair experts drawing our conclusions from hyped press bullsh1t and third-hand he-said, she-said stories. I think a year or two off will do him the World of good and I certainly hope to see him back in MotoGP. While I love Vale, Cal et al, I have a sneaking suspicion that Casey really could have been the proper G.O.A.T.

  7. I seriously hope not.

I think this season will be SO much better without him. I agree, he is seriously talented, but for me, top level sports personalities need to have a decent character. A bit like Andy Murray - can't dispute his ability, but I find myself cheering the other bloke, whoever it is.

  8. Its amusing to see how much vitriol Rossi fans have for Stoner just because he was / is better than the supposed great man, he came he handed Rossi his own arse in a box he left end of story.

  10. Rob do not want to antagonise you but Stoner left and then he moaned about it so not end of story for him the least.

  11. Let's be honest Stoner just likes whining.

He never has anything positive to say about anything.

Negative, negative, negative all the time. It's no wonder he is never happy.

  12. its funny i saw the moto gp in Portugal last year i think stoner won the race don't remember had a few beers , but i do remember the lap of honer at the end of the race , when stoner rode past the crowd did cheer him , but when rossi who came in at 9th place i think rode past the crowd went mental and all stood and cheered him .
so even if he can not ride the ducati very well every body loves him and i don't think stoner liked that

  13. on that point have you ever heard foggy he is the same

  14. Yep, and he wasn't popular in the paddock because of it. But he admits that nowadays, that's the difference.

  15. Just one more thing that he was better at than everybody else.......Now if we made a rule that moaning was not allowed on this forum then my guess is by the end of this week there'd be no forum, Stoner like a moan so what get over it, as Motojohn points out Foggy liked a moan as did many other riders Rossi has spent the last two moaning and if the latest press has any truth to it for no reason as everything he was moaning about was unfounded.

  16. The thread is about Moaner, but you keep trying to twist it into a Rossi thread. Why is that? It's not just Rossi fans that think Moaner is a miserable git; the vast majority of motogp fans in general think Moaner should shut it and start to appreciate the sport that made him rich - and maybe even start to pay back some of the people that gave him a leg up along the way...

  17. Dont you know it was a rossi fan on the grassy knoll in dallas too!! Best just leaving the couple of moaner fanboys blaming rossi for everything its all they have left, they can bang on about him being the bestest ever but leaving with 2 championchips says different

  18. At the end of the day he didn't have the mental strength to cope in motogp.

  19. Stoner isn't even the most successful rider of the last 5 years. Lorenzo has won the same number of Championships in one less year.
