SP Engineering Diabolus XL exhaust - now fitted properly Took about 40 minutes start to finish, with a nice tight fit between link pipe and headers and the silencer. Oh, and the sound with no baffle - a nice deep baritone - just as it should be
Sounds mint too... You have to shout when having a conversation next to the bike at tickover ... I took a video clip, but as usual these things are useless at providing a proper representation of the actual sound.
I can imagine the noise. My Arrow end Can (without baffle) makes me most unpopular with the neighbours especially when heading out for a Sunday morning run so I have reinstalled the baffle albeit with a few mods to it to get that in-between sweet spot of cracks of thunder and burble without shattering and of the windows in my street
I recall a track event at Albacete in Spain in 2002, where some rich Swiss guys brought their ex WSB 916/996s out to play. One of them sounded like a Lancaster bomber down the back straight
