True enough. But he is and it seems will always be the only one who could ride that Ducati. And can you imagine if he'd spent those years on a Yamaha or Honda? He'd have wiped the floor with everyone (as he did his first year off it and on a Honda). So yes, he's not good at putting a positive spin on stuff and if he's disappointed in something (bike, track, weather etc) will come right out and say it. But we're missing a serious contender this year. And whoever wins the championship will have to ask themselves, "Would I have won if Casey had been competing?". I'd put up with his moaning not have that question asked!
Stoner didn't win last year either even though he had the best bike. Even his team mate finished above him.
Yeah, but injury is a decent reason for that. Witness Rossi's broken leg scr*wing up his chances. All racers crash, injuring yourself and knocking yourself out for the season is just down to sh1tty luck.
Nah, falling off is down to a mistake. And ALL riders do it. Injury is down to what you happen to hit or how you get twisted while sliding on your arse. IMHO of course
What has it got to do with Rossi fans? By way of example .........again Donnington 2006. The place is full of people in VR46 gear. Pedrosa wins by a mile. He gets loudly booed on the podium. If not by Rossi fans then who? This well before Stoner was showing VR a wheel. So for people to deny Rossi fans behave badly, then that's a joke. And to condone spitting at someone because they deserve it purely and simply because of people's opinion is the slippery slope that leads to nazism, racism, the rape of women that dress in short skirts. You guys need to look in the mirror
Joking and good natured rivalry aside, I don't think anyone on this forum would condone spitting on Stoner or do it themselves. Would they??
Do chill out. They probably gobbed on him because he said something untoward. You know how 'open' he is...
Without them all the racing would be even more boring! The harder & more eccentric they are the better:0))
The best era of Grand Prix bike racing was over 20 years ago now. Now that was a time when no one moaned if someone got a bit too close.
20 years ago just, yes the great kevin schwantz, but then the mick doohan years, was just plain boring, he was just too good!, attention switched to WSB and rightly so
Doohan wasn't exactly cuddly. Rainey was deeply dull. Steady Eddie - hardly a PR man's dream. That is what Rossi really changed. Finally there was a media savvy guy who won everything. Stoner is just a return to the norm - massively talented on a bike, not a born communicator. And what the hell's wrong with that? Anyway, now he's gone, you can all whinge about someone else.
Fat chance, for some on here it's their raison d'etre, the knives have been drawn and they won't be happy til they see his blood - wankers
There's more moaning in this thread than Casey has ever done!! More than that, and to point out the blatant hypocrisy to some of you whom appear to be intellectually challenged, no Rossi fan has a right to call Casey a moaner unless they also own up to Rossi's moaning. Rossi's moaned more than any other rider in the last two years, moaned his way off the Michelins and onto the Bridgestones when even Bridgestone didn't want to supply him. The only two things he, rather conspicuously, hasn't moaned about is his ENORMOUS salary and his overnight michelin specials - back when they worked for him of course, he soon got rid of them when Casey beat him on the Brisdgestones... Anyway .. ignore my note, keep one eye closed and. .. as you were!
