  1. When you ride as three such as ^, do you swap bikes on occasion and what feed back do you all feel about individual bikes?

  2. I don't mind swapping to the KTM on occasion as it really is a bit of an animal, great fun, quick shifter gearbox, quick on the turn in etc. I choose not to ride the BM nowadays, as it is a 2008 and feels very 'soft' by comparison to the other 2. KTM owner did have a GS Adv water cooled before which I've tried and have to say it was quite similar to ride to my Enduro and a decent step forward from the air cooled (not in build quality though, apparently?).

  3. Send me a message with what they are

  4. Stayed there on the way up and back from Knockhill, a pretty place, only thing is the place closes around 10pm. Even the Indian restaurant in the picture was closed :(

  5. Only had one ride (200 miles) on them but first impressions are really good. The bike changes direction much quicker, but surprisingly the suspension feels a lot plusher and the bike feels more stable at lean.

    I’m delighted with them.

  8. Correct ! Collect your oversized cuddly toy at the booth. What made it more surreal was the train passing as we were preparing to move off.

  9. Stayed at a nearby campsite last month and cycled over in to the town.
Thing is how did you get your multi on to what is deemed a foot path?

  10. One of the chaps on the trip (there were 5 of us) was taken across it by Nick Sanders many moons ago so he knew the way. Access is permitted to peds, cyclists and motorcycles. Access from the Barmouth side is via a small path up the hill out of town.

We encountered no hostility from the numerous walkers and cyclists we met on Saturday afternoon. Ride across with courtesy and all will be fine. The road the other side along the coast is spectacular.

  17. New bike has been adorned with some Corse wheel rim decals. I think they go really well with the red frame.

  20. 5EDDF177-F7EF-482F-A8FB-A607BA0B3105.jpeg 549E684B-003F-4B96-98FB-4DFEB6AA23F7.jpeg Here is my 2017 MTS 1200S. My mods so far and opion of them.
    1. Full Termi. Sounds amazing, high end power feels better, mid range dip in torque is better but miss the low and upper grunt the bike had. Overall feels more powerful and smooth. but it was a lot of $ for this mod. Not sure if I would do this on my next bike - jury is still out
    2. OZ forged aluminum wheels. Amazing mod, can feel the acceleration difference and cornering is so much nicer. Bike feels and rides like it is 60-70 pounds lighter.
    3. Galfer wave roters both front and rear - another great mod. Breaking feel more powerful and these save some weight. Help with the unsprung weight
    4. Super light sprocket set +2 in rear with 530 chain - best bang for the buck on performance. Can feel the difference and I now actually use 6th gear. 1st gear feels a little short now (I think I just need to get use to the new gear) but 6 pulls hard in lower RPMs.
    5. Zumo Ducat branded GPS. Could have done the non branded GPS with same result but I like the GPS better then using cell phone.
    6. Rizoma eccentric peg adapters and pro pegs. - I like this setup as I can now get bigger lean angles without scraping my boots on ground and don’t feel cramped after long rides
    7. Crash bars - well what can I say. Thank god I have not needed them yet.
    8. Bark busters- same as above- will sacrifice some weight to gain protection to my body.
    9. CNC racing shifter and break lever. - looks good and works well. I’m sure there are a lot of options here.
    10. Puig racing windscreen - I like this windscreen- looks better and give good wind protection in up position at higher speeds.
11 . Angel GT tires - much better traction and wear than the trails. Feel like I can push bigger lean angles with these.
    12. Ducatifog lights - they are good, not as good as Darla but well enough to help be seen and see at night.
    13. EvoTechtidy tail - haven’t installed it yet but it looks nice. Will post pick once I install. One of the photos is color enhanced

My wife says I’m done with mods - I added for “for now”
