  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  4. 40% of our trade might be with the eu but it's very unlikely to stop overnight if we don't get a deal, trade will carry on both ways just on different terms, if like the doom and gloom merchants predict trade will cease then there won't be a problem at the ports with there predicted queues, so that's one problem sorted. ;)

  5. Agreed, just not excited about words like unlikely. At the end of the day though, there will HAVE to be some sort of continuation, either that or civil unrest, Government over thrown and chaos within a few hours. Common sense should prevail.....
     
  6. Duke does this a lot, it's like he writes songs for morrissey.

    He often implies with no fact to support it himself, that at midnight on the 29th of March next year, the barriers will go up in the channel, it will kill the U.K. and will not effect the eu in any way.

    You should have seen his y2k fear party, dancing on the computer singing it's all gunna end , I told you, I told you

  7. There is nothing to say we wouldn't join again but for now when the eu commission has been told by many of the 28, the eu needs to change or it will fall apart, the eu has forgotten it is in the employ of the 28 and has largely said up yours.

    I saw an article the other day that Italy is blocking the Canadian deal and intends to block a lot of deals (brexit was not mentioned) until the eu can help Italy deal with Italy.The eu can't as too much Italian debt is held by Germany and they can't afford to wipe it out.

    Irregardless of brexit, the eu has some shit to sort out as as more turn against the eu, I feel we are best out of it, let them deal with it and then see
     
  8. At least someone else understands simple economics.

    Trade may well carry on with the EU but a hard Brexit means no transaction will be simple and the motor industry that works on JIT will find it impossible.

  10. 195 countries, only 28 in the eu, soon to be 27

    the eu uses wto and free trade agreements with every other third party country it deals with so the idea if we go to WTO and free trade agreements our world will end is pure remainer desperation

    Trade will carry on with the eu because companies will simply do it to keep the wheels going no matter what the politicians say.

    Will be interesting to see the next day or so as Junker is in the states to say this trade war is hurting everyone, Trump has said there is a simple solution, you allow a 0% tariff on U.S. goods and we will allow a 0% tarrif on eu goods. trump knows the eu is a protectionist market and can't do it.

Just in time deliveries will work just the same, once any delays that may occur are worked into the system the haulage company's will adapt, I used to travel all around Europe delivering goods when there were borders on every country excluding the Benelux Union which were open, I never experienced any problems until I reached the Turkish border.

    Whilst rather wishing it wouldn't change and away from the scare companies , most companies biggest gripe is, tell us what the changes are so we can plan for them. That is perfectly reasonable and that is why wto and free trade should have been announced when article 50 was announced. By now they would be ready to run by next march leaving very little to negotiate

  17. Only that we have been in the EU since 73. Obviously full freedom of movement came later, but being part of the same trading bloc oiled the wheels somewhat.
    Got to be consequences of returning to a pre '73 agreement.
