Spent a very frustrating 2hrs talking to the DVLA regarding getting my newly completed Panther project registered it's.a UK bike but the reg no has been lost , after being passed around finally got to speak someone who understood it's not a import so won't have a NOVA registration just need a dating letter from the owners club Isn't the DVLA a crock it's a pity there staff don't understand there own regs and procedures
Took me nearly 4 months to resend me a new log book as they had added an extra digit in the frame number ( which was a Yamaha with matching frame and engine numbers)
Back in the office today and I am thoroughly bored. I've been day dreaming all day of riding around the Italian countryside :/
I had a similar issue last year they managed to transpose the last 2 frame numbers it took 9 months numerous phone calls and the replacement they had spelt my name wrong
Watched this at Cadwell for half an hour... Then some random dude came and told me how rubbish the suspension is on the Scrambler and how he knew how to fix it... *sigh*
Getting caught up with chores at home after visiting son in San Francisco last Wed through Sun. Here are some pics from visit; At a coffee shop where a police officer was hanging out, his bike parked on the sidewalk. He admits, sweet job to get paid to ride a dirt bike through the parks everyday. Went to Munroe Motors dealership (Italian and British bikes). Below is shop mascot "Desmo" chillin'. Orion Griffiths- Anyone heard of him? British guy doing acrobat performances on Fisherman's Wharf. Said his family did shows in UK. USA Rugby superfan at grocery store. International rugby competition was in town. View from goat trail of sorts we hiked up. Actually everywhere we walked was uphill and I am still around to talk about it!! Did spot a Ducati (one of many), shown in the Ducati Spotted thread. We also saw artist, Renè Magritte's works of art being previewed at the San Fran MOMA. Pic of one of his paintings and one of someone else's many spider sculptures. Super cool sculptures.
I was going to take my grandkids to a corn maze today, but I found out the cost and I'm taking them to Ikea instead.
Yesterday a delivery arrived, it was my new chain and sprockets for the Honda 250, I eagerly got started, bike up on a stand , chain link ground off, back wheel removed only to find the sprockets wouldn't fit after a long discussion with the supplier and him e-mailing me different sprocket dimensions, we established mine were Japanese Import fittings, different to the UK speck, replacements are on order. And the sun's still shining in Bakewell for anyone watching the Monyash thread. Steve
