So what have you done today..?

  1. Since test riding a Scrambler on Saturday, Carole has been playing with the web site configurator and come to the conclusion that, despite the whole Scrambler brand marketing thing, it’s still a Ducati so it should be red. Rather limits the choice to an Icon but if that is what she would like, so be it. Dropped into work this morning as I had a box to collect and it was an opportunity to talk to George. Went upstairs first for a chat with Craig and Luke, get a coffee from our freshly serviced coffee machine and have a closer gander at the new, red Scrambler Icon that’s in stock. I’d more or less made my mind up, especially as it’s Carole’s birthday in a couple of weeks time but George was on the phone so I had a chat with Andy on the service desk. That’s a coincidence says he, we took a red Icon in on part ex on Saturday. Outside, nestled in amongst the other bikes is sitting a 1 owner, 2 year old, totally standard Icon in red with less than 1000 miles on it. Ever had the feeling that an opportunity is just too strong a coincidence to walk away ? Well, Carole now has a Scrambler Icon in red for her birthday. Don’t know who is more pleased, Carole or me. Andy

  3. Excellent! That’s the way things can often work out. A bit of perseverance and recognising an opportunity = a result.
Happy Birthday and hope she enjoys it.

  4. I’ve had my Scrambler 1100 Sport detailed by our very own detailer, @rob lewis who has done a superb job given that it was filthy from the WDW trip. Thanks again @rob lewis :upyeah:

  5. Nothing interesting but I am intrigued by the neighbour's pipework ;). They are having a brick bike storage thingy built on the side of their house and I think, judging by the pipes, the boiler will also be in there. Those push fit connectors look a bit of a bodge to me but I'm not a plumber....
ps they've moved out for 6 months so I feel duty bound to monitor progress when i get home #noseyneighbour

  7. Reminds me of the wasps nest currently under construction at the back of our house.

  12. Dropped the car off for an annual service and recall work so sat in Neros enjoying a mug of Java and a meatball panini before venturing out into Newbury to window shop for a couple of hours. Dropping the kids off at the Boomtown festival later, deep joy. Andy

  19. Been on bended knee most of the day assembling my mums new ikea bedroom furniture.
An aching back and sore knees have forced me in to the horizontal sofa position.
Also I took the scrambler back, at £10/ day it's just added £100 to the repair cost of the multi, which I hope to get back very soon.
