Hello all, I'm looking for new handguards for my HM796 but they seem to be exceedingly expensive. I can get the 821/938 handguards for a quarter of the price but don't know if they'd fit. Does anyone know if you can fit the 821 or 939 handguards on the old 796, or what kind of modifications you have to do, or maybe another alternative that doesn't look hideous. Cheers!
Have any of you managed to fit any of the SW Motech handguards? The Kobra looks beautiful but I've never seen one of them on a Hypermotard.
I fitted some 821 guards to my 796 last week,mine were a pain as i fitted lower fat bars aswell,the indicators were a problem also as the 821 have a normal bulb,i took the reflector out and put a led indicator in its place and put the lense back on.
I have recently replaced my bars because of the same accident that claimed my handguards, I got a 7/2 bar that is one inch shorter from end to end from the original. Do you think the 821 handguards will fit? All the handguards I found on ebay come without screws and fixtures. Do I need special Ducati screws to fix the handguards? Why were the indicators a problem?
Guys! I found a cheap pair that actually looks decent. The Zeta XC flasher with the smoked lens. I can't find any store that ships to the UK with the smoked lenses, which I think that without it looks a bit ugly. Do you guys know where I can order the smoked lenses?
