Interested as I'm planning to do the same. About to sell the gixxer that has one on it. Plan to swap it for the standard 959 unit. Cheers, Bob
Guessing I’m missing something but it’s just a clamp with remote reservoir, why won’t it fit? If it doesn’t, maybe move switches to right hand bar? My 848 had that when I bought it (had been used on track)
On 848/1098 the curvature of the lever means it hits the switch before full brake pressure is applied. The clamp physically fits but it’s the fouling of the lever that is the issue. Not sure about 899 though. Could be similar, might not be though.
Knock the locator lug off the switch and move it left and use tape so it grips bar, or buy longer bars?
I’ve put an RCS on mine. Couldn’t get it to fit anything like with stock switchgear in place. BDS switchgear was/is an option but pricey. I’ve brought a few switch sets in from Italy that act as the clamp for the master cylinder. Look pretty smart and come prewired. Work a treat. I’ll get a picture up here
How about this high quality item....£2.78! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universa...ill+switch&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313
ANY switch housing will work on any bike. Look at the honda/Aprilia housings, I think they are rather fancy looking and also a much thinner profile than the duc unit Pic because I’m nice... this one is by motion pro. Domino Corse dynamics
Summat like this that doubles as the M/C clamp. Can't see how it would 'kill' though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Durable-...m=153070953278&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
These are the ones I have. Billet alloy, prewired and replaces m/cyl clamp. Red is the latching run/kill switch and black the push start. £80 inc. I don't have my bike at the workshop, but i'll get a pic of it fitted if you want one
@Android853sp, yep. Got a few in but they don't fit 1098/848, or at least they aren't prewired for them. Sorry. There is universal option but it would need wiring to the multiplug. The ones I have are for Panigale, MTS12 (gen1 & 2), SF848/1098, HYM, M821/1200. They use the small white connector as in the photo.
