I'm looking for a camera for my upcoming Italy trip and have had this recommended to me. Does anybody have any experience of them?
by all accounts the drift 4k and drift x are now the ones to avoid. I'm considering this or the Drift s. I did read that the external mic on the tomtom is/was rubbish, but I can't seem to find anything to say they sorted the issue.
Why is the Drift 4K one to avoid? I've got an s and it's good. Was thinking of upgrading sometime. Whatever you buy you need a remote to switch on and off. Otherwise you get hours of boring stuff to wade through. Or a flat battery when you get to the good bits.
Got a hero 3. never had the need to change it but i will say the mic is shit but you can plug in an external one....
Played safe and went for a GoPro in the end. Does what it says on the tin I suppose. The lack of a viewing screen on the TomTom put me off. I like to be able to line up my field of vision on the screen, so to speak.
I had bought one in 2016 and never used it, Sold it on here to @Desmoquattro Maybe he can through in his pennys worth? Seemed to be a nicely made quality bit of kit
Got a Hero4 Silver edition, lightly used from eBay with some 64gb cards thrown in. I don't need the latest thing with all the bells and whistles, just something that will give me HD footage of my Italian trip. A friend ahs one and he showed me some of the footage from his, looks very good, crystal clear.
Sounds good then. I’ve been looking at getting one for mx and ice hockey. Just reading up on all the spec etc.
