Today, I drove down to Colchester and back to pick 'the duchess' (mrs m's grandma) up for a week up here with us. She's having a tough old time at the minute with the second daughter of her's being on limited time due to terminal cancer How sad it must be to see all of your children both come in to the world and then pass before their time should have been. Meanwhile the rest of the family are being absolute arse holes to her and trying to push her out of her own daughters life as they fear the purse strings of Helen's grandma will no longer be open all hours like they're used to... It's lovely to see her so happy to be away, offloading everything she's being bottling up and relaxing bless her. Hopefully she'll enjoy her week here, recharge them batteries and go back down in a much better place mentally than she was in when we arrived there this morning. When the inevitable happens and she ends up with nobody down there who really matters to her, we will approach the subject of 'do you not think you would be better moving up this way'
Our neighbours did that but the uprights ran down the centre of the drive alongside the house, apparently they didn’t think we would mind not being able to open our garage as putting it on their side of the fence obstructed the shared access they have with a terrace of houses. It was repositioned by disgruntled scaffolders the next day, the neighbours had told them we were ok with it. If they asked we would have been ok as long as we could open the garage.
Agree - it would have been nice is they had told us before but the neighbours have moved out for six months. That said they are the ones going to be paying for their mad extension for years. I think the bricklayers might have employed a toddler to do the pointing!!
Had a blast out on the new Tuono, only my 2nd decent ride since April, only popped over to the Weston bike night to try the bike out properly. She’s lovely and quick, the QS is a bit lumpy though. Only saw 3 other Ducati’s there, 2 multistrada’s and a monster. Took her back up the M5 to see what it’s like at high speed for buffeting and wind noise, as this is my first naked bike. Not too bad at all tbh, quite surprised.
After thirty plus emails/two open cases i have just printed off a FREE return label for incorrect goods sent out from a ebay muppet company... so very Happy
Yes but by the lowest ranked journey man. Prob needs six months of ever increasing senior sign off. Ill pay when you invoice and they respond.
Mad panick rearranging of crap in the garage to make room for the Scrambler which is being collected from MR today. Honda NC29 400RR track bike has just had to go in the dining room. It will keep the spare engine for the Honda, 2 x 748RS engines and a 748R engine company if nothing else Andy
Unless I blinked and missed it I didn’t see Xmas arriving first. Stick to your words and pay the man Cheap skate

I started a new job last monday, and my Manager stressed that I must treat others in my department the same way as I'd want to be treated. Today I was suspended for sexual harassment.
