Just a quick one to sing the praises of Paul Goodall at PG Performance. Paul has just completed a "full monty" service and a 853 conversion on my 748 ... and what a job he's made. Transformed the bike 100%. Paul was at WM Snells in Alton for over 10 years so knows his stuff. Any thing from early Ducatis right through to your latest Panigale. Professional and dedicated to his trade ... So if you need any work doing on your bike why not give Paul a call. 07733 174990.
He certainly does ... He delivered my 748/853 back yesterday and it's like a completely different animal. He even took pictures throughout the entire strip down and rebuild. Set the suspension for correctly ... everything. seriously impressed.
What a difference! Thanks to Brexit I just couldn't afford to go with a dealership. No disrespect to them at all, I've always been really happy with them. I took my Pani to Paul for the 15,000mile Desmo service. As it was a big job I trailered it and left it with him overnight. He gave me time and advice before and after the work. Even showing me pictures of the strip down. Then I went out for a ride the other evening. What an amazing transformation with the bike. Within 20 yards in first gear I could feel the engine was running far far smoother. Unbelievable! I look after my bikes but it felt like every element of the bike was improved. Once I started I didn't want to get off, I did about 150 miles. The mid range seems better, the brakes feel better with new fluids, the handling is better and it's not just because of the new rear tyre. It goes round bends so much better, fresh fork oil. Even the quickshifter is definitely working better, it's smoother. It feels to me like the butterfly valve is now open but wasn't before. Could that be the case or is there other magic that he'd sprinkled? The bike feels like it's just gliding along, better noise too. I'm not imagining these improvements, I'm absolutely sure. This guy seriously knows his stuff. So, I'm one very, very, happy customer. Highly recommended.
Always worth adding the good people to this https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/independent-workshop-map.46916/
It's the new physic mate, no more waffer thin mints for me ... Will be over soon as the bike is booked in on Steve Jordan's dyno so was going to pop in after that for a cup of cha.
