  7. We’ll have to sit on opposite sides of the fence on that one. I wouldn’t lose any sleep if Brewer disappeared of the face of this world. Andy

  8. I'm afraid my miserable attempt at irony failed badly Andy :worried:

  18. Ah, not to worry Ron and I wouldn’t be too quick to shoulder the blame, irony is something that is lost on me :upyeah: Andy

  19. Ah. Obviously you lot aren't too well up on the anoraky dispositions of the Porschophiles.

What you are looking at above is a 2.0l early 'long hood' car, which was produced between '65 and early '69, as is the way of things, much prettier and rarer than the later, post '74 impact bumper 2.7. The earlier car is much lighter, and it has a shorter wheelbase, so the handling is much snappier. I take it that its not an 'S' model, but can't tell from the pics.

The early cars are also the ones to have to convert to FIA appendix K as competition cars.

Anyway, you don't want a 911, you want one of these. Porsche 356 on Autoroute.jpg

Here's a pic of my 1964 built for the '65 model year 356 SC
