  1. Agreed! I can't wait for spring to get on & ride!

  2. The wheels look fantastic

  3. I originally didn't like this after seeing all the components individually, but assembled it's looking quite good :upyeah: Well Done

  4. I'm still seeing a tarts handbag

  5. El Toro...you just like plain factory bikes, when someone changes something on their bike you ridicule because you don't like it or you are a little jealous...wake up call...it's not your bike lol!

  6. Not strictly true. There are certain mods that I like and I have slightly modded bikes in the past. Just so happens that my current bike has all the fancy bits that I would have liked anyway (apart from a slipper clutch that is).

I'm just not into bling, for the sake of bling. And your bike looks like its been sprayed in glue and ridden through Halfords.

Like you say it's your bike and you can do with it whatever you wish. And good luck to you.

It still looks like a tarts handbag though, to me.

  7. If you really think about it there really isn't a lot of bling on the bike...a lot of others have the same stuff on their bike just in a different color lol!

So bling to you is the Rizoma parts?

    Well let's see here...

Rizoma is an Italian company that does build quality parts!
Ducabike is a well known company for its quality!
Carbon Fibre...everyone has that...bling you say?
Tell that to the guys who put the Chinese parts like Sato or cheap knock offs of Italian parts on their Italian bikes because they want to save a few bucks lol!

Just like Dementor the way he did his bike up & people were riding him because he put gold on his bike & polished up the exhaust, he did a beautiful job on his bike and that's what separates him from all the other 2013 848's out there, his bike is unique & personalized the way he want's it...as is mine!

  10. Like I said. It's your bike and you do with it what you will, if it pleases you, and you think it looks "nice".

I still think it's a tarts handbag

  11. Gorgeous looking bike, love the paint and wheels but to much additional gold stuff for My taste but then it's not My bike.

  12. Although no all of it is my taste, Ii take my hat off to you, in the respect of getting things bought and fitted to your bike.

With me, parts sit in boxes waiting to go on, or the thoughts of modifications/changes only stay in my head.

Wish I could afford the time to get things done!

  13. hurry up....only 10 weeks to aragon......

  14. So you trolls, quick question in 2 parts:
1)your best mate/daughter/whoever brings home their brand new baby, its a bit ugly as most babies can be to start, do you say jokingly 'cor what a looker' with a clearly sarcastic tone (or just jeez she's ugly) and if so do you them say it every 10 mins til they leave and every time you see them
2)or do you say politely ar how cute and move on

Its not banter, and after the first time it stops being even remotely funny, so why not just give it a break eh

    Peace and love

  15. Wasn't trolling. I've just said its not my cup of tea. Aren't we allowed an opinion on here?

  16. I know what you mean, I have done that in the past with parts, got them delivered then was too lazy to put them on hahaha!

Now as soon as I get a part in, I waste no time lol!

  17. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, I respect that & I don't take it serious lol!

Some things are what some people don't like...I am sure that there are things that others put pieces on their bikes, cars...etc! that I do or don't like also, I look for been unique, custom, something different to do on my toys rather than keeping it stock, something to make it stand out apart from everyone else's!

The difference is when I ride my bike and there are others in the group that have the same Ducati as me they won't just say: there's another 848...they will say that's Nick's bike, it's custom & a lot of changes have been done to it...mind you some will be a little jealous & some will be envious, some will ask where did you get that part...that's what it's for...a conversation piece at shows meets, rides!

I have been there where I seen a car like mine was totally done up really nice & I admit I was a little jealous & envious of it because it looked cool weather it was the paint or parts added & I wanted the same but different!

I put up the progress pics of my bike on here to show people some of my ideas, some will like it & some won't, it's the effort that when someone does something different is what I like!

  18. And that's fine. It's your hobby too. I get that.

I have other things that occupy me when I'm not riding my bike.

I've found that since I've had my bike there aren't too many about so its a conversation starter no matter what.

  19. nope only Bradders.........and in the real world all he is doing is expressing his opinion! which is obviously the right way, the only way......

  20. That's just your opinion
