1200 Enduro Aftermarket Can????

  1. looking at an aftermarket can and spotted MIVV as they do a titanium can and can also get de-Cat pipes for same money as a term I can?

    -Any feedback on mivv
    -Is a de-cat tube worth the effort?....will I need my engine re-mapped?

    Any thoughts?

  3. To my knowledge, no-one is offering remaps of the DVT ECU which leaves after market plug ins like the Rexxer if you don’t go down the official line and get an upmap with the Termignoni. Early examples (2010 ish) of MiVV systems for the Multistrada were poor quality and for most, too loud. 8 years on, I have no idea if their systems have significantly improved. Changing the end can alone will gain you nothing but asthetically pleasing looks and maybe a slightly different sound because it’s all after the catalytic converter. Andy
     
  4. I'd go with the full race system again, without hesitation. Comes with upmap dongle & I still get very high mileage on my machine. Switching the end can doesn't do much & if you swap out to a full de-cat system it would really need mapping.
     
  5. All depends what you want to do...you will gain very little power from any exhaust mod on the DVT.

    I de-cat'ed because of the foot heat was unbearable hear in AZ when over 100*.

    It sounds MUCH better with CAT removed, same performance and no a remap is not necessary but is required to get the extra few HP out of the engine.

    Any other mod you are only buying sound...oh and 1% weight savings whoopie!

    So...if you have the money get the TERMI if not and you want killer sound and have no neighbors de-cat it.

    Or take the $3K and put it in a savings account as a downpayment on the 2020 V4 ENDURO :D
     
  6. If you de-cat the bike how do you get around the exhaust flap servo? Ive drilled mine out but the actual sensor and mechanism still works to fool the engine management system?
     
  7. The ARROW kit came with a cable clamp that stops the servo cable from getting jammed once removed, you then lay it flat on top of the engine skidplate (what i did 18 months ago).

    Or you can plug one of these in.

    FYI de-cating will make your bike emissions illegal, a pain if you have yearly inspections, or the law is hot in your area.
     
  8. Found that after use the full termi system actually got a bit quieter. Carbon build up on the pipes? Or maybe it’s my imagination
     
  9. Yeah...the TERMI has a DB killer insert were as the OEM does not.
     
  10. Here in the UK there is no law for CATS on bikes. Its just to meet euro 4. The MOT has no test for bike CAT,s. Dealer removed mine when fitting full termi. Best mod ever. Bike is much better to ride. Not sure if any faster though.
     
  11. I put a Delkevic de-cat and muffler on and was surprised that it wasn't as loud as I was expecting. I put the Duc-ee on as well. The fit wasn't too tricky but the decat pipe where the rear cyl pipe joined on was very amateurish and needed die grinding on the inside to tidy things up a bit. Performance seems the same, that is also to say, not really lacking anything!

  12. From May this year, changes to the UK MoT were introduced and it now requires that any aftermarket exhausts fitted must be no louder than the OE end can so homologated with baffles is your safest way forward. Andy
     
  13. Got the mivv system (de-cat) fitted to mine, been told it looks good and sounds good, bike runs sweet without a re-map and is showing 147bhp on two different Dyno's. IMG_20180806_200119~3.jpg

  15. just not sure of the looks of the double barrel end can for the enduro yet its way cheap and noisy! ;-)
