Whatever it is, IMO, it isn’t worth £10k. Too many miles and too little original equipment for it to be a collectable, if a late 916 is ever going to be collectable that is. Worth £4k as a bike to be ridden. Andy
Nice forks, why would a main dealer give a non-exsistant description ? Only up the road from me, might drop in & annoy them. The 'kids' behind the counter looked baffled by superlight when I stopped to buy t-shirt a few weeks back.
If I had been asked, any part exchange offer would have to have been underwritten by a trader before a value was agreed and if I’d taken it in as part exchange, the bike would never have seen daylight in the showroom. Too old and too many miles and IMO, a major error on the part of the dealer. Both to take it in and retail it at that rediculous price. Still, they do say ‘one is born every minute’. Just hope for their sake, that one person is local to them. Andy
They are hoping someone won't ask and just buy it - can only be a base model with that description - they just didn't want to say as it might 'devalue' it give em hell
