As some of you will know, I quite like gold wheels on my Ducati's... Up to now though, the Tricolor has remained standard as I quite like the standard satin black wheels when cleaning the bike. They do seem to blend in to the background when looking from further away though. Whilst generally browsing the net though I came across a Tricolore that had gold wheels which got me pondering the decision again. Images below, what do people think?
All the detail on stunning wheels disappears when they are black. When redone in gold they are brilliant! There is a reason the Queen doesn't wear a black crown...
The green is already there on the Tricolor as pointed out be @El Toro. It's difficult to see in the photo's though. I won't be going down the route of changing the paint scheme though as to my eye's the Tricolor is the best looking Panigale paint scheme to leave the factory... It's just the lovely wheels that seem to get lost in the overall picture as the attention is drawn elsewhere... Ducati obviously realised this though and went back to Gold Wheels for the Anniversario paint scheme. The same sort of shade as the Anniversiaro wheels would be the way I would go if I decide to bite the bullet
On this model I'd go gold, as mentioned it reflects the detail better. PS congrats on your birthday yesterday, hope you had a good one.
Interesting to see the response to this as I expected this to divide opinion much more and be a near 50/50 split on the poll... Despite my pre-thread thoughts, it looks like a good few of you also have exceptional taste and an eye for complimentary wheel colours
@Bazzer yours look quite a bit darker than I was thinking of, do you have any more photo's of them from different angles for us to see?
