You just make yourself look stupid with comments like that. Tito Rabat has potentially life changing injuries as a result of the bikes aquplaning yesterday. I'm sure that is at the top of most riders minds in their decision. There was an aqua planing incident this morning when the bikes were making their way to the starting grid. The track just does not drain water, it sits on the surface.
Resurfacing leaving bumps which fill with water and don’t drain was the issue. F1 drivers were complaining about the bumps at the GP a few weeks ago, MotoGP have suffered the double whammy of bumps and rain. Silverstone are probably a bit concerned right now, or if not they should be.

I have to agree, racing is dangerous for a variety of reasons, yes it's a hard living but rewards are generally very high, and let's face it the lads only do it for themselves as they enjoy it, it is dangerous simple as that, the moto gp bikes are fast but it's up to the riders to go as fast as they think is appropriate or manageable, run of the mill sports bikes on the road have wet power settings, as said they should have tried, if aquaplaning was occurring you can't ride but nobody tried to find out, they could have raced early today or tomorrow, these are top bike 'racers' ffs meant to be men of men once a week they are meant risk their necks that's it, we don't want injuries but it's racing, even if just out of decency for Rabat they should have tried on the lowest power to do a few laps then decide. Imo
If that's the case it's understandable but surely that was happening when it was a lot wetter than at 4pm at 4pm it was just a flipping very wet race I've seen a zillion very wet races.
Earlier in the day it was widely reported that there was standing water and a problem, yet at 4pm it was reported there wasn't, hence my comment 'clung to previous conditions', as such it's really you that looks stupid Duke as once again you fail to grasp the basics of written English I'm well aware of the tito accident, as were the people reporting the track conditions at 4pm. At the end of the day Silverstone need to take responsibility but considering there was an achievable schedule in place from 4pm and thousands of fans kept waiting then conditions at 4pm should have been what was considered.
No, safety comes first. If the track is not certified and sounds like it wasn’t then nobody should race. Even Marshall’s should be provided with safety in mind after that incident
Lots of people now quoting marshals, who were apparently told very early on that Racing wouldn’t happen but they kept the crowd in to keep spending up.
I have mates who Marshalled today: I’ll ask them Why could,y they start behind the lace car for a few laps? Sounded a sensible solution when Texan Tornado made it. Ok processional but they could either call it 6 laps in or let it go and at 2 thirds finish the race for points.
Silverstone is fantastic... My hire car had a flat battery this morning and after waiting 2 hrs for the aa to get there it took a further 1.5 hrs for him to get to my car at the campsite due to the numpties working there not knowing where the camping was and security refusing to let him through.. I got him to put me on the phone to one guy who told me there was no such gate as gate a north and all gates had numbers . Tried to get the security gard who was standing next to me at gate a north to talk to him but he wouldn't as he worked for a different company. What a pack of cunts...
I've never liked Silverstone, mainly because it's fucking dire viewing and a piss poor boring flat track to ride on a track day. Now in your honour I shall add 'pack of cunts' to that list
Had the camp site security try to jump it with no success and the aa guy had to use his pack as well as leads from the van ... also had veRyanair little battery on phn which made it more fun...
http://www.silverstone.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/2018-motogp-terms-conditions/ Well.... Make your own minds up, says a refund will be made if an event is cancelled, but dose that mean the whole event cancelled prior to the day of the event? the event still on but racing cancelled? There should in my view be a refund as a credit for future events
Bit of a piss take with regards to things like camping too. Obviously wouldn’t have camped had I not been here to see some racing.
