About £225 plus food and drink for us. Becketts, Camping and entrance. Obviously we wouldn’t have camped in a field for fun, we only did so because of GP
Allegedly the prolonged heat brought the bumps back. It was the standing water in the bumps that was the real. Issue. In the dry, the grip was consistent, where it used to be highly variable. I have never ridden anything like as stiff as a MGP class bike, and know people who ride M2 bikes, and they all say it’s like the princess and the pea in seeking out bumps. When Cal did his run around on the RC road bike, with road suspension, I doubt the bumps would have been as obvious
Miller and Zarco were the only 2 that said they'd race. The one's I'm dissapointed in are Crutchlow, Redding and Smith. It's the British GP and the fans turning up to cheer them on deserved better. They didn't even offer to do so much as a sighting lap or start behind a pace car. In this article, it says Rossi didn't attend, but said he'd go with the majority decision (fair play) and Dovi was informed too late to attend and wasn't present. Article
Redding said on TV he wanted to race, so no idea where that comes from. Check out his BT interview: Parkinson appraising ‘riders Should just be told to get on with it, tough if they don’t want to race’ You can guarantee who was at the front of that ‘it’s too dangerous’ queue....
Will there be?! Wasn’t Silverstone already at risk...Doniningtton is a no go due to run off but, mostly, Palmer wont make money from the meet so wont play Dorna’s Tune. Good on Palmer!
I have heard that Petrucci said he'd race and Redding, but when Miller was interviewed and in that article, he said just him and Zarco. I can't blame Marquez, he's playing percentages. But as a sportsman, should have raced. If he had been trailing in the Championship by 50 points, I think he would have been at the front of the queue.
Perhaps Redding didn't get the invite either because earlier during a bt sports interview he was clear saying let's get on with it and the riders shouldn't get the say https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1802690946517090
Yeah he's pretty straight talking, quite like him. He pretty much called out the top riders in that interview
Think someone may have said it, but hats off to the BT team! They did a great job at filling the whole day. Grabbed some interviews. Wandered about pulling out gossip. JT got a bit annoying at one pioint but really like Gav and his style.
‘It was worse when I rode yesterday’ ‘not ridden in 7 years’ ‘I was great’ Yawn. Funny, they said in commentary he bought a bike last year and has been doing trackdays all year...
And went on to say how much pain he had in his wrist after three laps, followed by moaning from the crowd behind.
I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash. It'll be interesting to see how many riders will attempt damage limitation by coming down on either side of the "safety" or "I was willing to race" fence.
Oh they're all at it already, full social media onslaught supported by MotoGP official social media account All citing 'safety comes first' http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2018/08/27/british-gp-riders-apologise-to-fans/269866
