  1. If they are truly sorry then they’ll reimburse everyone’s costs, and I’m not just talking the ticket price.

  3. Was funny seeing JLo dive straight in the pit garage and start getting comfy. He’d decided to not race before they’d even given it a thought. It was also the Ducati shops and bike stand that were first packed away too. Must be an Italian thing.

  4. The irony :joy:

  6. Read your own posts. You sound deeply unsatisfied with your life.

My only gripe is with Brexit and the fucktards trying to engineer it to the benefit of a few at the loss to the majority.

  7. I see chuckles is trying to make everything about brexit again in any thread : unamused:

Silverstone is not responsible for the weather and I'm sure they are not the first race to be rained off but it seems their Ryan air approach of we ain't paying nothing it's nothing to do with us, will cost it more than just money.

They knew the track updates and resurfacing has been a dogs dinner, multiple races including f1 recently had said, that track ain't right. Bike fans invest heavily in the sport and it isn't just that ticket price but as some have said, camping, over priced food and drink, hotels, days off work, and travelling time.

So when someone like Silverstone tries to wriggle out of their part of the contract similar to the way insurance companies often do, then the reputational damage to Silverstone considerable.

  8. As yet there haven’t refused to pay refunds the will contact on Tuesday - but if they don’t do something I will vote with my feet as loud as possible

  9. @20 paces...... Go !!! :D

  10. You know what, I've been doing other things today, but have been getting steadily more narked by this.

I had a feeling they would hide behind safety. But by all accounts it had all but stopped raining (I wasn't there, granted). The marshals had begun to clear the track, but the riders didn't even take a look. No sighting laps, no starting behind the pace car, no one of them going round in a car to see the circuit (as far as I'm aware). I'm sure we've had rain sice February, I wonder how many times the circuit was in use on these days of rain, and the event cancelled?

They let the fans sit there for about 8 hours and didn't even try. Then the usual social media diatribe of "safety" and how much they "love the fans".

  12. He said that at 2ish if he went to the meeting at 4ish he had changed his mind as miller and zarco? Were the only two who said they would race plus a Rossi going with the flow

  13. Saw an interview with MM stating "there is no way, just no way we can race" Without looking ?? Guess who agreed straight away in the interview, his boyfriend JLo :heart::heart:

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  14. Redding didn’t go to the meeting - also had a hand written sign on his bike “ let’s not cry Let’s race “

I think he would have gone out in snow and at 4:00 yesterday he was out at the shops ( not the paddock ) signing autographs and having pictures taken - no issues from me with Reading tried to look after the fans

  15. Proper blokes bloke, not some nancy boy like some of the others. Redding was already held in high esteem in my eyes, and yesterday he set the bar higher. MM still an absolute cnut to my mind, just a cheat who will do anything to win. Can't stand the fucker.

    (Rant over)

  19. Thats because the only way Redding would ever have a chance to win a race is if he engineered a way to slow all the other riders down. :D

The only people at fault for the non event yesterday were the Silverstone employees behind the decision to award the contract to resurface and the contractors themselves.

In 2015 (I think) pretty much all those same riders were happy to race when it rained all day at Silverstone.

  20. Great shame. I took my son for his first ever Moto GP experience, and all he got was the 20 minute warm up and pneumonia! By about 1pm I couldn't see it happening and left, glad I didn't wait around until four!
