  1. Ouch! But so pleased to read you are in good spirits, and your injuries are not life changing. I hope you give the 'em hell and get the compensation you deserve.

On a lighter note what bike d'ya fancy next?

  2. Another Mutley, of course, he's not brain damaged!

  3. Wow,
That really looks like you got away pretty easily, when all is said and done, incredibly frightening and indeed shocking, to say the least.
Genuinely absolutely delighted that you are seemingly OK, after such an awful experience.

What a real shame that all the authorities will now undoubtedly do, is to wriggle out of responsibility and try to find someone, other than themselves to blame, which will not necessarily deal with your issues in terms of convalescence, bike replacement, potential time off work, lost earnings, etc., etc.....

Great to see you walk away from this one, which could have been so much worse!!!!:poop:

Here's to hoping your recovery is quick and positive all round: Then up and at em……:scream:

    Best regards
    TonyMN

  4. Glad you are OK - the bike can be replaced with another Ducati :)

Those longitudinal ruts are really dangerous for bikes, got one near me on the exit of a roundabout but I know it is there now and avoid it.
Keep on at the local council and Highways they don't like being pestered and may settle sooner to get rid of you (so to speak).

  7. My Arai assured that ....... and as AirCon said, i want another Mutley and already looking but cant buy till

    A) i know what sort of budget i have
    B) I can ride a bike again to test ride as i have a feeling my left shoulder is going to take more time than the rest of me to heal

  8. It's worth going on the government pot hole site to report the hole if for no other reason than to see if it has been reported before which should help you if it has.

  9. Bloody hell. Glad you’re ok. Had a friend in a similar situation a couple of years back but he ended up over the barrier and into the opposite carriageway. Which slip was is? I’m in Norwich and work in Wymondham. The state of the A11 especially is shocking.

  11. I agree and I'm sure everyone else on here understands it too. Longitudinal ruts are a death trap for motorcyclists. Given that this is a slip road, you have to be effectively moving sideways. I'm surprised it didn't throw you straight on your chin.

If you can prove the council know about this already then they are liable. However there is no spray paint around it to mark it. Which would show they are aware.

It is two sections of road joining. They have inadequately filled the join, thus it has sunk, as opposed to being a pothole by the looks of it. This was an accident waiting to happen.

See if you can check if any other motorcyclist has had an accident because of it before. It's obviously been like that a while. It just took someone to hit it.

Very pleased to hear you have survived relatively well. Could have been worse.

  13. Its the slip road up from the Thickthorn roundabout to join the A47 towards Gt Yarmouth and easterly...the strip of patching is a couple of feet in from the main carriageway and runs almost the entire length of the merge point

Funnily enough i did get a couple but firmly taking the piss and its tradition innit ;)

  14. hi BY long time no see. I was on the same stretch of road yesterday. Our roads in this area are shocking, intact the roads in the country as a whole are shocking. Road repairs are never level or smooth. I found riding in the rest of Europe much better.

  18. Glad your’e ok-ish mate. Seriously though this is the third time in about a month I’m reading about bikers getting hurt through potholes and ruts. A mate got thrown off in to a hedge and his pal following him hit the same rut, threw him off but straight in to a big steel farm gate. He got all sorts of damage to himself.

    Fuckin disgrace.

WE WILL CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY TO MAKE THEM AWARE THAT YOU HAVE MADE A CLAIM AGAINST US> . That,s your no claims bonus fecked. Bastards. ,

  20. Which is why lots of people have added optional extra protected no claims bonus, costs next to fuck all.
