Agree, but for some the new Supersport, V4, Scrambler etc. will be their first love, maybe they will sing the same song 10-20 years from now, when Ducati puts out whatever a bike is at that time.
Bikes are going the same way cars are, all look the same, all do the same thing only with a different badge on the side. I do love the pani think it's a great looking bike but for me it's the under seat exhaust and trelis frame of the 996 and 1198.
The erectile disfunction you experienced at Aylesbury could be age related, try taking a viagra before you go in next time! Seriously though I agree, the 1299 to my eyes was an absolute work of art, the new V4 looks plain and plastic, I was at the Norton factory last week test riding a Dominator (Didn’t buy, it vibrates like a jack hammer and was slower than my 27 year old 900ss I’d ridden up there on) but I had a good look at their new V4 Carbon, bloody gorgeous styling and detail , makes the Ducati V4 lock like it’s just dropped out of an Xmas cracker!, if it goes half as well as it looks they’ve got a world beater there.

I couldn’t take Viagra as it’s blue. Only red for me lol. Maybe I just like Old stuff. I am In to milfs so I suppose that confirms
Objects of desire? No not really, a few years ago a duc was still a fairly rare site . Now with pcp etc, they are a clit bike (every cnut has one) .
Horses for courses... I personally prefer substance over style, the latest crop of superbikes and supernakes are absolute weapons, capable of blasting around tracks and crossing countries without breaking a sweat. Don’t get me wrong, I would love a garage queen that only does a few thousand miles per year, but to me that’s an ornament not a motorcycle. I guess that what some people want, something rare that can be rolled out of the garage to the local bike cafe, ogled over because you don’t see many and it rattles, before it’s rolled home..
I know lots of people like that but I like to ride my bikes like you. My mate had a desmosedici in his living room for 2 years. He never rode it once And sold it after his significant other replaced it with some shit cabinet from mfi or summit like that
I guess we can blame big business and shareholder value? My 899 had absolutely lovely mirrors, they felt like a genuine quality item and would also fold in with a very nice action! Riding the V4 recently and I was shocked and the awful plastic storks they have stuck on the bike... You can argue it’s a bike not designed around practically, but I thought the idea of the V4 was that it’s a fantastic road bike - well if that’s case put some half decent mirrors on a 24k bike ffs!!!!!!
She looks bored shiteless. And no way could she ride in those heels. Seriously do marketeers still think that sticking some bored looking bird on a bike will make us buy it!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And 20 years passing also makes a difference. I still think the original 748/916/996 are the best. View attachment 129353
Yes. Ducati’s may have become more mainstream and less desirable to those “in the know” but to the general public, who don’t know their arse from their elbow where bikes are concerned, the name Ducati still conjures up exotica in the same way that Ferrari or Lamborghini does.
