I think BMW riders are definitely knobs

  1. I've gone off 'em now...

  2. Front end is really odd tho, and they dont like very quick direction changes....numpty much better at that...but you can jump a brook-crossing bridges and scrape the engine bars and wheelie it too if you like...or waft along in total comfort, heated grips and guards doing there job regardless of weather all day

All this talk is convincing me to get another

  3. I saw indicated 135 on mine but it took a while over a ton...

  4. In that case you owe me a big favour , you big tart.

  5. And 150hp is not required to deliver all this fun

  6. Imo it would be better if i did tho...

  7. I have ridden in a group where the leader "hustled" so I test rode one on road for a morning. I found it good enough to be boring. Rather like a Toyota car I had in the 80s. It did everything well, but had no personality and did not make me want one

Wind blast was an issue, however. At 70-75 the bike developed a strange sensation where the wind seemed to spill over the sides of the screen in alternate left right left right onto my upper legs. It did not cause any serious weaving, but was an odd sensation that did not inspire confidence.

  8. Ar...and you've just reminded me why I sold it, and for the same reason I sold a ballistic cbr1000rr. Thanks :)

  9. Lack of personality ,thats what makes it perfect for touring , all day comfort. There are various screens and a lot needless to say depends on your height and size. I am a 5'8" gurly so have no wind blast from a standard screen at second highest setting. Regarding the stability, I agree that kind of adventure bike can be iffy particularly at motorway speeds when affected by wind turbulance from large trucks,I hated a Cagiva Navigator I once had for that very reason, but the Beemer feels very stable in comparison.

  13. bmw car drivers are all wanchors

  14. A BMW bike, like a Mercedes car (and almost certainly a BMW car) is something that I know I'll never own.

I just don't like the brand. It's not "a brand for me".

The Beemers I have ridden are all like boats - massive things made for huge stormtroopers. The front wheel is way off on the horizon. One of the things I've always liked about Ducatis is that they are small. Even the Fugly is small in its idiom. Very confidence inspiring.

  15. Blasphemy!! BMW best cars on the road, end of. Go wash your mouths out !!

  16. Yes, and they all get in my way too:mad:

  17. Can I mention van drivers?

  18. As we move off topic....Audi drivers have replaced Beemer ones as the worst tossers on ur m'ways. The worst Beemers seem to be still the X5 series, who maintain their status along with Audi

Merc ones tend to be blind, either thru age or ignorance at looking at themselves in the mirror
