I was in garage 28. In contrast to everyone else, I couldn’t gel with the circuit at all, not sure why but it’s the first time I’ve come away from a Euro TD disappointed. The combo of hairpin corners and blind crests killed the track ardour. Kept getting false neutrals as well. Sunday was a crash fest, personally witnessed 2 mingers. A delayed flight and getting home at 3am this morning capped it off. Just call me Mr Killjoy.
That's a shame you didn't like the circuit but we all have our preferences. I don't like Jerez but everyone else seems to love it! Which group were you in? I was in the middle group with the double red flag in the session before the break.
I was in Portimao on my 899 from 1-4th. Was absolutely epic, I returned 2 years later after my massive 100mph high side. Our garage was epic with mates bikes consisting nearly the full range of PANIGALE, 899, 1299, Superlegera, V4s and a Final Edition, the other two mates had R1M and April’s rsv4rr or what ever . Anyone want to see my lap fighting with a R1M
1: R1M's are annoyingly fast in a straight line 2: People suddenly slowing down to look over their shoulder mid track are a PITA. 3: Where is everyone???? 4: Is it OK to turn up to one of these Euro days on a tatty 18yr old 'Blade?
That's my mate on the R1M, he's actually about 3 seconds faster than me, It was Day 4, 2nd to last session and think most people were exhausted was soo hot the first few days, but was great as could really focus on lap times 18 yr old blade so long as its mechanically sound hell yeah!!!
Yes blipper fitted, must be careful with this as sometimes when changing down the smallest amount of throttle the bike launched when changing down, not what you want going into a corner I now want to put the race shift, but apparently you have to reverse the blipper?? any ideas on the how to with this?
IMHO race shift works better. Although never used a blipbox. Watched with sound off so may need to watch with it on now ANything under 2’10 isn’t bad (so they say) and sub 2 is fast. Any shorter and you’d run out of revs on the straight.
