Currently EU growth is 43% better then the UK though this is a Daily Mail style sensationalist way of saying 0.8% better. Its is still better! The proof is in the pudding and the UK pudding is about to change. I hope it won't be Spotted Dick for everyone.
Absolutely given two thirds of the 28 take more out than they put in as to the afters, more of a apple crumble and custard man myself, I tend to let the flakey type of deserts wear the eu flag
scroungers? i wonder if those two thirds will still be able to afford to purchase uk goods after brexit?
Which means the remaining third or richest nations in the EU are A) Unaware of this? B) Too stupid to do anything about it C) Realise that the benefits are larger in the overall scheme of things.
An alternative view would be investing in the weaker nations. In the same way we would like to see investment in poorer areas in our country. Not rocket science that by strengthening the weaker economies, you in turn increase potential trade and strengthen Europe. But then again, the Tories have an excellent track record with investment, what would the EU know...?
If the eu were to invest in the weaker nations properly, then the other nations would become to powerful and not financially dependent on the eu so would not keep quiet
So you are claiming that two thirds of nations are receiving more than they pay into the EU, which is a type of bribe to keep them poor, which in turn keeps them quiet, which is especially beneficial to Germany because the EU is really just an engine to supply it? (see your earlier post). Thats quite a theory. What do you use to polish your tinfoil hat?

Question If we were and had been for quite some time, the independent country we are soon to be again, would we join the eu as it currently is today? and if so why?
You will know the definitive answer to that question in about six years - two years of transition, four years to sample being outside the EU. The nation and its people will be poorer, or poorer than their EU cousins or not. Next question?
How can we have the next question when you haven't answered the first? The question was about joining the eu as it is now Fin at least puts more effort in an attempted divert
See Jez, that's how you do a divert and try to avoid the question you don't want to answer, who'da thought Fin would be Schoolin Jez, Loz would be so proud of fins first step, I'll screen capture it for posterity Okay both. Imagine you are a neutral country and you looked at the eu 2 years ago and thought I might get me summa that and then 2 years later you are about to consider it again Looking at the eu now, 1 would you think now is a good time to join it 2 if so, how would you sell it to your people knowing they have the internet too? 3 if you think now is not the right time what would be the reasons why not (and Brexit isn't acceptable as the solitary answer) Let the games commence
