Is there a way of getting rid of all the pop up adverts that keep appearing every time I move around the forum? Village broadband is rubbish at the best of times but it struggles a lot trying to open all these adverts about ppi and breast enlargement.
When I turn adblock (the basic free version) off, the forum keeps showing me adverts, normally in the evening for "older women near you" and "easy women near you" on dating sites . How did they know?
Ha ha ha ha ha like this ? I’m Glad it’s you as well And not Just based on my internet search history lol
On a point of order, is any advert fair game on this site. One I see regularly is asking people to cash in their final salary pension. These shit hounds are thieves....what next the KKK !
If you are not already using an adblocker, I would not get one just to avoid adverts on DucatiForum. Two reasons: 1. pay a subscription for the site, Mr Stingy : o ) 2. The adblock extension gathers data on everything you browse, at all times, and sells it on, which is how the adblocker makes its living. For some, it is worth sacrificing a little privacy so that they do not have to fight their way through adverts for five minutes every time they open a site. Once they have something to hide, of course, they are advised to junk the adblocker.
@El Toro - can you remind me of the halfrauds discount card thingy, please? I see I have forgotten to re-subscribe, and perchance have my eye on a £450 bike turbo trainer in halfrauds (i.e. will the card cover all purchases or just for certain items, etc?). Cheers, Pete
That's the one, @Martin D . the little sibling of the Neo version which retails around £1100. got to keep the legs turning through the winter, and commuting on the MTB in the pissing down rain doesn't really give the same training effect.
ah well, having checked by various means, it turns out that the card won't work for bike stuff, as Creamy figured above. back to the tightwad drawing board...
If my friend is a subscriber, should I also castigate him for that, too? Asking for a different friend.
Ah, no, I was referring to my Subscriber friend. My non-subscriber friend, if he even exists, is staying well clear of this increasingly surreal thread.
Funnily enough I've just downloaded Opera web browser as I've been having problems with Chrome popping up "No DSL Connection" page on various sites even though I am connected. Did a quick online comparison of alternative browsers and Opera seemed to offer everything that Chrome does so I'm giving it a trial. Seems to be quicker than Chrome and the adverts have disappeared. I guess that'll change when the algorithm decides which kind of dating sites it thinks I'm looking for.
