939 SP Location Of 02 Sensor Connectors....

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by C RFan1, Sep 26, 2018.

  1. Anyone know where the two 02 sensor connectors are at on the 939? Are they in the same location? I ordered a Rapid bike easy and I want to plan out the wire routing......

  2. I'll have a look at the manual for my 821, it should be the same, and post you an extract if I can find it.

  3. Outstanding thank you! I am hoping they are somewhere on the side of the frame or under the seat but the front one goes up the left side and almost seems it's under the tank.

  4. Hi, sorry did not manage to do this last night, but this is what I can find in the parts catalog.
The lambda sensor is what you are looking for. The first diagram shows where it is located (you knew that I am sure), the second diagram is the overall wiring harness for the bike.

Let me know if that helps, and if not I will try to get to my workshop manual for you tonight.

  5. Thanks Gandalf.....yeah I am looking for the connector locations and I can’t seem to trace the wires to the connector but I will have to dig deeper. There is a post fron a guy on the forum that has installed it but he hasn’t responded to my request for more info. Hehe.

  6. Ah you guys haha. First connector will have a red tab on the line MUST goto the front sensor, which is located on the front left of your bike above your engine case, route the wire down under your seat follow the trellis over your engine case to the sensor, totally invisible to see. Second one is a bit of a bugger, located inbetween the remote rear suspension and the back of the engine. Route down through the seat past the exhaust servo, behind the trellis and plug straight it, again, totally invisible to see. Turn your bike on, get the green light (don't forget the negative connect to your battery) and wait fornthe sensors to warm up, then you have a flashing light to say it's working. Tune your trimmers to specs and you now have almost flawless fuelling, no overrun popping, more torque and a much nicer bike to ride altogether.

  7. Here is the complete set of wiring diagrams (?!?) from the workshop manual. It is really a series photographs called tables. The last two or three pages have a real table which give you the reference to the various parts and on which "table" they can be found. Confusing? It's a Ducati live with it ;). These are from the 821's shop manual, but I would imagine that in this respect the 821 and 939 are quite similar.

Hope that makes things easier for you.

    Cheers!

Poop it won't let me upload the file  - complains it is too large (4.8 Mbyte). PM me and we can try to sort something out.

  8. Thanks Tobin I will have a look! Can you share what your trims are set to? I know you said the documentation was not correct.....

  9. Thanks for the effort Gandalf...much appreciated! I am just going to trace the wires now that i know the approximate locations. :)

  10. no problem. if you get stuck let me know

  11. For sure, I'll have a look tomorrow. I've adjusted it a bit more because I have a race pipe and a K&N fitted too.

  12. Gotcha! I just have an Akra slip on mine so just oooking for some base settings

  13. Ok located the sensor connectors and I have to say their is not much room for anything! In fact, no idea where to mount the unit itself as it will not go under the seat anwhere! Probabaly not going to use this and go with the booster plug which is easier to install and conceal behind the headlight.....

  14. Booster Plug seems to have helped the midrange and just a wee bit of the low end lean-ness but I think the Rapid Bike Easy may be better for what I want. Just a matter of where to mount the damn thing.....would love to see some pics from those that have installed it!
