Ideas For Project Whilst Not Riding/injured.

  1. As discussed in another thread, I'm giving up riding and selling my 800 Scrambler whilst my back is injured.

    To keep me sane I would like to do a project but not sure where to start?
    I could try to restore a bike or create a custom cafe racer/scrambler type bike?

    I'm not sure i would want a bike with carburettors as I fiddled enough with those on my Honda NC30 plus I've a RexXer unit still.

    Any info and ideas would be welcomed.

    A really cool bike, rare, exotic and the ultimate of its type/ era
    Will make you money if you do a good job
    2 stroke so the spannering is less complicated
    Really worth doing as riding it once done (and you are fully fit again) will be a blast

  7. That's an excellent idea. Excuse my ignorance but that would be a? I'm thinking Monster, 748/916, SS era?

    I'm still not sure which direction to go whether to try and stay with a Ducati or a totally different manufacturer which might be a cheaper option?
