1199 Cracked 1199 Dash Screen? Replace Screen From Other Unit?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Andyc72, Oct 2, 2018.

  1. I have the dreaded cracks on the dash screen which appeared randomly one day. Bike is out of warranty so this won't be covered. Has anyone bought another dash and used it purely for the outer cover/screen? Can they be swapped over? Thanks

  2. What year is your bike mate ?

  5. My dash is cracked too, 2013 1199s Tricolore. Are all 1199/1199s instrument panels interchangable?

  6. It is likely Ducati would provide a new unit under their goodwill policy, however you would have to pay the labour to fit. Worth speaking to your dealer.

  9. Someone has done a replacement DIY guide on these forums for dash clocks with some (non U.V. which would be better) plastic. Although I'm not exactly helping by stating this hopefully someone else has it bookmarked or can search for it.

  11. Mine and @DRR117 1299 screens cracked also. Both replaced by Ducati. They all seem to crack.

  12. Thanks for the PM rosso

  13. Not sure, I have mine off the bike at the minute and there is a part number and software revision on the back. Unlikely they’ve changed, have seen a few 1199 panis over the years and they all look similar.

  14. For anyone following this, I have made a few enquiries. Ducati won’t give me a new one, they want full price, too long out of warranty. Another guy says he can transfer all the data from one to another. Another guy said he can move the front cover from a donor to mine.

I’m going to try the transfer first and if that fails try the move the front fascia from one to another. Will post back with an update in due course

  17. Just called up Riders of Bristol to book in for MOT and the 15K mile service. Asked him if he'd do the dash for free and he basically said no chance, but he'll ask the boss.
