1260 Throttle Spacers

  1. Interesting to hear such positive feedback, sounds like they've identified a need and are milking it. Good for them. If its such a positive improvement then, in 'bang for buck' terms at least, it's worth the outlay. Wonder if they've patented it and if not how long until somone over here starts to make a similar product... Teetering on the brink of ordering now...

  2. I posted about this in another forum thread last year. On my 2017 Supersport I used heatshrink to the same effect. Since I already had various sizes of heatshrink available cost was zero.

  3. Not sure I need these for the 1200DVT, anyone tried something similar.

  4. The 1200 DVT doesn't have the same on/off problem, that's why they don't make the spacers for them. The difference between the bikes is very noticeable, once the throttle is off the limit the 1260 pulls a lot stronger through the rev range.

  5. My spacers arrived today
But i got stung with customs for another £14.00!
So a bit steep now for a bit of plastic and a screw bit!!
Hope its worth it and as beneficial as previous posts when I fit it..?

  6. Hovering before a strike myself.
Boomer let us know how you get on and if "light and day".

  7. That's unlucky and thankfully I wasn't charged customs but it will still be worth it in my opinion

  8. Same here, Not delivered till I paid Vat and handling charges, makes it an expensive part, I have yet to fit mine.

  9. Ditto :(

  10. I was lucky I guess but it might be worth contacting them as they do say

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY? WHAT ABOUT CUSTOMS FEES?
Yes, we ship our kits to most international destinations for a small added cost via USPS First Class International or USPS Priority International. Your kit will be shipped with a low claimed value to avoid high customs fees!

Most of the charge though is the extortionate admin fee the carriers charge

  11. The admin fee being £8 of the £14.53 I paid, although if it works I'll be more than "happy" to have paid!!

  12. If they weren't such an exorbitant price you wouldn't have to pay customs fees and admin charges. It isn't applied to items up to £15 in value.
You could use heatshrink like I did and save a small fortune ;)

  13. Except the ones for the Multistrada 1260 are different, they are only three sided, so I don't think your heat-shrink trick would work. Maybe a malformed piece of cut cable-tie... possibly too much of a risk of that going astray and jamming the throttle

  14. Ah. I thought they were all the same.

  15. How many people who have ordered have received theirs yet? According to the tracking mine have been 'in transit' for a week since arriving in the UK

  16. Which means they have probably been held up in customs.

  17. I ordered some for my monster yesterday

The ones I got for the panigale came in just a couple of days and I didn’t pay any charges - hopefully I don’t with these cos they’re stupidly expensive for what they are already!

  18. Got mine today just under £15 custom charges.
Fitted tonight but not ridden. The spacer has indeed removed all the slop.

  19. Likewise - but no request for a customs payment.

  20. When and how were the customs charges applied?
