bad day at the office

  4. Guessing: track marshals, fire extinguisher powder, because it was catching fire.

  7. Well the first pic shows a marshall holding the tank so it clearly came off so I'm guessing fuels lines rather than a split tank

  8. So what happens to a bike like that now? Is it all lovingly taken to bits, cleaned and polished or just skipped?

  9. I saw more detailed pics on-line earlier, it's bad... Very bad... I would imagine not much would be re-useable but I'm guessing they'll salvage whatever the can.. Rear sets, levers, tank, airbox/frame, swingarm etc

  11. Is that a marshall? Pic 1 doesn't seem to have any stuff on it, like its already been cleaned.

    I wonder if having no frame means its easier and quicker to repair. The stuff the MR team did last year with Binladen's bike seems to suggest they can be put back together pretty quickly
