  1. Figgy as promised, met you at the bar. Was good to meet you :upyeah:. I'm going to start a little write up, so those who couldnt go, will be able to, hopefully, have a feeling of the show as a whole. Cross fingers

  2. I was there but it's tricky meeting people when you don't know what they look like! Should have worn that carnation after all!

Went for boots, gloves and trousers and got some good deals.... If you're going you can haggle like mad!

  3. Outside with Lucazade and Chris, waiting for my brother to get his act together:mad: We must have only missed you by a couple of minutes. Have to say I was disappointed with the show.

  4. I to was there today arrived at 10.30 left at 15.00 quiet enjoyed the show as i caught up with some old friends, came away with some Ducati cups :) and a new Ducati flag for the office wall. Some of the custom bikes were ...... bright !
I got a new helmet at the NEC show but there were quiet a few offers to be had, i was after a new back protector and could not find a good one ..... some at £30 that looked like they were made from crisp packets.

Took a few pics and they are here :)

  5. Me and my lad are on the train from Walton now. I'll be in the black Tiger Tee. Should be there for opening time but I notice the DLR isn't running so bus from Canning Town.

  6. I hate trains. Why do I always end up on a carriage with some snotter who won't stop coughing and wheezing?!!! Wish I'd gone by bike now.

  7. Free bike parking too...

I went out for a fag mid-way through the show, you could see Lucazade's bike...cos he was the only one that actually rode there!

  8. On the train as well but got to do something else first .
You can't miss me .... Just look down.
    Pink weeble on acid .
    Well paracetomol :)

Most people run away as I'm uncool :)
Usually found rolling about laughing at Victory stand !

  9. I bet it was filthy

  10. :upyeah:

  11. i'll be staying at home probably enjoying lots of photos being texted to me...

  14. Posted same thing on UKMC but thought woth posting again. I went yesterday, (Friday) it was the first time I've been to a bike show since Birmingham in 1989 when I bought a 65cc big bore kit for my RD50! Really enjoyed it, nice to see the MV bikes in the flesh, didn't really like the Brutales, dare I say it, beautiful rear ends but the front seems a bit erm gladius. Loved the old school Ducati racers and the Yamaha stroker, think it was a TZ, some cool Harley's, don't normally like them, nice green Triumph Thruxton and I stupidly sat on the tricolour Penigale and the 20th anniversary Monster, nice micky mouse mirrors....now I want both. Should also say loved the race Laverda and thought I was really going to like the new Hyper but didn't.
Over a pint got chatting to a couple of massive Duc fans, well into their racing, they told me the Penigale will be rubbish this year on the track because they made the stroke to long and the bore to big so the acceleration is nowhere near good enough, they may as well have been speaking Japanese, or Italian even but it was a good day, will definitly go next year, not getting that cable car again, nearly sh*t myself :)

  15. Take it from me, they're talking out of their arses.

  16. Yeah probably, I don't know shit about that sort of thing, definitley a stunning bike tho, I went to bed dreaming of the things, usually go to sleep thinking about erm other things,

  17. Enjoyed a few of the older / classic bikes. Met up with a few mates and had a great day out, but there really wasn't a lot there. In the pub later, I found myself saying that my favourite bike in the show was a Harley engined featherbed frame cafe racer. Must've been the beer talking ....so please don't tell anyone I said it.

  18. I thought the best bike was a restored Z900. But it was near the bar...

  19. The 900 was brilliant. The featherbed wasn't too bad either ;)

  20. I went as planned on Saturday. Stood around like a f*****g lemon on the Ducati stand, wearing a Ducati Eagle jacket, waiting to hear someone say 'hello Will'. What happened ? Sweet FA.

The show was shit. Saw nothing of any interest and had finished by 10:30.
