MCN show .... Won't be spoiler .. Just been out on guest list for gig yay !!!!!!!!!! Just going to do something stupid .. And out of my comfort zone
Took the Ninja out for an hour. Took the front body work off the 1098, drained the coolant and replaced half of the coolant hoses with some nice red Samcos. Got to the point where I need to take the tank off, by which time the light was fading (rubbish light in the garage) it was getting cold and I didnt want to make a massive mistake and regret it. I had planned on changing my levers over as well. Knew I should have done those first
Took my McQueen Bonneville round the block, forgot how good it sounds and how nice it is. it has been under covers in the garage for a while now so good to let her see the light of day !
See if you can find a chalet maid called Smixxy, she'll look after you. She'll be easy to spot, she's got MASSIVE boobs Tell her fig says Hi...
Far far too much.... washed and polished the car, re built the other front caliper on the cbr, filled the whole system with fluid and bled it, and watched the ice hockey (MK lightening v Sheffield steel dogs) paying the price now, EVERYTHING hurts... This is so frustrating.....I'm not used to not being able to do things, TBH I'm still struggling to accept my limitations.
This is normal. Took me a year after my back op to be able to do everything I wanted to. Mind you I was back on my bike and did a track day three months after the op, and was snowboarding in Avoriaz seven months after it.
I was on sticks for a year after my big accident Phil, and walked with a limp for two years. It all comes back though, as long as you do the physio.
My Physio is great, and to be honest i'm not in quite as much pain as I expected to be today, though i'm far from comfortable. I've been bidding on CBR parts on ebay to keep myself occupied The fact the CBR can now move under its own power, and fork seals aside its ready for an MOT is quite inspiring. In fact, i'm impressed how positive the brake lever feels considering its got 2 pot sliding calipers and rubber hoses. with some sintered pads in there I don't think the brakes will be bad at all. They wont be brembo sharp like the Ducati, but they should be perfectly usable. I did discover a bulge in the front tyre, but I have a decent supply of new and nearly new tyres through a friend for absolute peanuts, so will get him to put a new tyre on it for me while the forks are out next weekend.
Fettled with the bike. The husband has adjusted stuff to help me and I've swapped the clutch cover for the open one. Took two springs out - what a difference! About to go and practice slow speed manoeuvres to build my confidence on the beast!
Looked out saw sun ! Yay bike time ! Moved ... Ouch .. My back bugger can't move .. Shuffled to side of bed .. Sat up .. Owwwww head hurts !!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Need painkillers .. Can't move . Laid looking at ceiling with sad face 3 hours later .. Got downstairs taken pills still hurt. I think some one drugged me did something to my eyes and head .. And has been spanking my bottom . I don't get why my bum is bruised !!! ( not bus) Why is my bottom bruised ????
Exhaust done, clutch done, happy fig. I've got a nice shiny new headlight to go in but that can wait, the bike is ready for the mot and 100% spot on. All I've got to do now is find some spare time...
