So had my R a few weeks and while I’m waiting for the dvla so send out the replacement logbook (previous owner lost it) I’ve been doing a little tinkering - mainly protection stuff, lots of evotech bits and a screen protector. Have a termi in order which should be here in the next few weeks too.
Thats a great looking bike, enjoy. I've heard a standard 2018 model with Termi's, you aren't going to be disappointed
Yeah it does away with the cat I’ve got the baffles out too So it’s quite a bit louder but sounds way better now
I've just done the Termi UpMap on my V4 with the phone app and dongle thingy. Pretty neat and straight forward. Is it the same deal with that? If I go back on the road the 1200R is in my top 3. Looks the bollox with handling, performance and sound to match. Enjoy
thanks - On the road its brilliant. On the roads i ride on its probably quicker and easier to ride than the panigale. Really like it so far. Only real negative point (which loads of people seem to say) is the lack of quickshifter - I will be adding one over the winter, just deciding which one to go for. The translogic one looks the best but is a pain in the arse to fit, the healtech one looks easy to fit but gets mixed reviews anyone with a 1200R recommend a good quickshifter?
I've always gone HM. I've even just bought one for my V4 because I've heard the OE is a little fragile/unreliable. Wrong I know when dropping 23k on a bike but when I get out to a Euro gig it'll be nice to have a spare/ugrade. The HM unit is plug and play. Up/down/autoblip. It uses the strain gauge technology, I've used one on my 1098R on track for years and it's never missed a beat. Fit and forget.
I contacted HM and they said they didn’t have one compatible for the monster 1200R which I thought was strange
Yeah that seems odd... Got one for my V4S straight away. Plus the V4S comes with OE DQS. HM must have been well aware the OE DQS are shite
Nice. I want one. Fits me well. The standard bike is a bit too short and just doesn't feel quite right.
They definitely feel different to sit in than the S I nearly bought an S and I’m sure I would have been really pleased with it but the R does seem to have that special something extra. I might give the healtech quickshifter a try. The Ducati dealer I got it from have used them on the R and said they work well
I also have RSR key guard but not fitted it yet They look identical to the DP stuff and quality doesn’t seem any different
I got some stuff for the panigale from eBay seller carbon fever and it was as good as the DP stuff to be fair
