  5. i agree does look lovely...but i would want to know, and i'm not adverse to changing things,

why the forks / callipers were changed to 1098? just to go to ohlins?
the discs are S not std 998.
why the tank is the black graphics one when the original was silver? In fact is it my old tank??
the std 998 (ie not an S) didn't have a belly pan or belly pan lowers how did this change come about?

    just questions really.

  9. Happy to respond - I decided to fit the 1098 Ohlins forks as an improvement on the standard Showa's also fitting the 1098 monoblock calipers to go with them. The discs are R spec which were needed due to the additional 15mm offset required with this setup.

The tank I bought online, so if you sold one a few years ago it may well be yours! as it was a) perfect condition which the one it replaced wasn't and b) went with the black theme I wanted - I do have the fairing graphics in black to match but haven't got round to fitting them, agree that looks off.

Not sure re the bellypan, I bought it with a fibreglass bellypan already fitted so just upgraded to a new kevlar version. Perhaps a previous owner changed the fairings at some point, they are all genuine panels though.

  16. i guess some of the concern around the parts changed are, are they changed as a result of damage or a crash?

maybe worth amending your sales pitch to cover the other parts..?

  17. Have you ever used a full tank?

  18. I guess some will assume its been crashed (it categorically hasn't) no matter the description but fair point.

  19. I confess to knowing bugger all about how 'original' the bike is...but it looks like it's in amazing condition.
