No i standby what i said about DK,i thought and prayed he was going all the way to the very top after securing his first championship but sadly not now.
bradders,Please read post 2 and 5 again as this is a thread on Danny Kent and not the tattoo man,are you on drugscan i have some as well
And you said Kent had never won anything. And I said he did. If you are saying something different, its not clear over the internet... Maybe reduce the dosage fella
bradders,Read the posts again but make sure you have your bins on this timei said Danny Kent won the moto3 title in post #2 then progressed up to moto2 but has gone backwards when he discarded all his teddy bears,,,game over for him now in the motogp world and what shame for the fans
Wasn’t that last bike standing though?... Plus, agree with the above. There is an interesting article somewhere (maybe even in this forum, I’ll have a look in a minute) about how Kent blamed everyone around him for his drop in form, got rid of his technical chap thinking he was holding him back, and just got worse. Poor results are one thing, but if he really did spit the dummy and blame everyone else, then do worse when they were gone, he isn’t going to make many friends in the paddock.
This is what I was thinking of.... https://motomatters.com/analysis/2017/04/29/the_rise_and_fall_of_danny_kent.html
Read that at the time. Certainly an interesting article and explains a lot. Even if he did get the jump on the field with regards to setup, most could be on 600’s and still get trounced so he can ride. Maybe the world stage is just too much for his talent/commitment.
It seemed to sum up what is said about him and his mentality and approach. Can’t help but think Cooper would have been a better signing.
Interesting read that, I remember at the time he won the moto 3 world championship, he was offered a moto gp ride with Pramac but turned it down and decided to go the moto 2 route. Imo he was poorly advised and should have jumped at the chance, he would have had no pressure in his first season in gp. Moto 2 never worked for him, its a tough series to do well in, you only have to look at Lowes results this season and he was expected to fight for the championship. I think Kent did ok on a bike he has hardly any track time on and his first time on a superbike, take a look at Gino Rea, he moved up from 600's this year and has not made his mark on the championship with his best result of 7 at Brands on Sunday. I hope Danny proves himself next season.
