My bike is good for my soul. My dad has been in intensive care in hospital for 4 weeks now its touch and go the trip is about 50 mins there 50 mins back Hayward heath hospital to Caterham. Mum and sister where both crying at the bedside yesterday its tough to watch . I was angry with the doctors never speak to same one twice .. As i sat on my bike to ride home I noticed ive done 1000 miles in the 4 weeks Dad's been in there . Last night I flicked it to sports mode and off I went . The ride clears my thoughts I concentrate on every corner and ride fast .been ages since used sports mode forgot how awesome this 4 year old multi is ..I get home and its cliche but life is about moments and biking makes you feel so alive
Absolutely well said. @paulfastbikes, been where you are now so I have an inkling of what you are going through. Keep your head high mate, take time for yourself and stay strong for your mum, she needs you. All the very best. Andy
Had physio torture today had a couple weeks off due to a virus Met my brother for coffee and cake and a couple whose wife has terminal breast cancer Not always possible to pass on my positivity but I hope I inspired her a little Make the most of every precious moment you get be that for yourself or someone else A view from my local hospice I was taken with the sky this morning after my workout
Awww get well soon ET When we don’t feel well we all feel like it’s the worst thing ever I never think I’m worse than anyone else it’s when I feel normal
#Just been on the phone for ever to Hastings direct and Admiral insurance to tack on a another vehicle to the policy, press one for this & two for that etc but nobody picked up from both outfits but yesterday phoned a landline and renewed the PS with no problems. These big insurance companies need a Kick up the backside
Try bemoto, when you next need renewing. I’m found them good and no buttons to press. They just answer the phone....
Done a bit more paving today, all cuts , but stage one is almost complete, just the pointing left and then stage two, kids who would have them. Stage two is to take up all the pavers on the lower area and replace with the same Indian paving. Don't you just love retirement. Steve
Called for my insurance renewal today, asked about adding the Fireblade. Told the lady about the removal of lights, "does it not need indicators for the road?" she said, "nope, not for a day time MOT" I said, "I wonder if all those BMW's are on daytime MOT's then" she said!!!!!
Set the form boards up for the concrete slab for the new workshop/garage. Concrete arrives Friday. Weather forecast is dry(ish) for the next few days so it should cure without issues.
