Are you too poor (or tight) to get yourself a modern touring bike ? Eyesight not a strong point ? Love Ducati ? If you can answer yes to those 3 questions then you may well have one of the old 2 valve air cooled multis. If so then its your lucky day as I have a pair of genuine Ducati Performance hard panniers fresh off a 2003 1000ds multi. They are used and have scratches and scuffs to prove it but they are both in good working order and I even have a key for them . £200 for the pair based on collection from Woburn or plus postage which I guess will be about £15 for both for most of the UK mainland. There is a single pannier with no barrel or key on Ebay @ £150 at the moment so I think mine are cheap. The bike will be available soon too if anyone is interested , brilliant bikes to ride these despite appearances. Anyway, on to the pictures :-
Mate has one on an 05 and he loves it . Looks dead comfy on it hooning down the lanes . Effortless on the motorway also .
someone buy this please, I mustn't get a 3rd one, has the lovely red frame too! No denying they fell out of the ugly tree at birth but you can't see the front end while riding, and that headlight arrangement works rather well. Will surely go quickly if you do a dedicated ad for bike + panniers dukesox?
Mine is the Medusa edition with extra ugly features so probably a worthwhile addition to your collection.
In Italy they go for about €400/450 for a mint pair, I reckon you'd get about €350 for yours. The "Ducati Multistrada by Terblanche (620-1000-1100)" facebook group is a good place to post a for sale ad if you're that way inclined
