1200 DVT Front Sprocket

  1. Took off front chain sprocket now can't remember which way new one goes on, one side is flat the other has a nub sticking out .

  2. Thanks laava I've seen this picture also googled one actually on a bike and the flat side was on the inside against the transmission so I'm confused.

  3. Ok, no idea then! If your sprocket looks like the one in the diagram then fit it same way. The chain buffers will show if it is fitted correctly...

  4. on the pre dvt you can't fit it the wrong way, as the chain will foul the casing. I would assume the dvt is the same.
It should have the 'spacer' to the inside.

I would fit it but not torque it up, put the chain on, and see how it aligns with the chain guide.

  5. Flat side faces outwards. The offset goes gearbox side.

  6. Well progress has been made, the flat side has to go against gearbox because if you fit with the offset against the gearbox the sprocket is too far out ant the chain will not fit ,it's not inline with rear sprocket .

  7. Interesting. Opposite to pre dvt bikes then.

  8. Sorry mate, I’ve just been out and checked and you’re right. You’d think I’d know having done mine three times!
